Art Portrait Practice Progress Report

Sorry everyone, I had plans to push out that Valentines comic, Karen piece, and the much anticipated written story. But plans fell through, it's past midnight and well school starts up again tomorrow, thus making my busy life, even busier. I'll try my best to update and work on some more drawings, so keep your fingers crossed that I don't get burned out. Now for the time being I wanted to just go back and look at some of my best drawings, I know I'm very harsh on myself and I never feel satisfied with my work, but I guess it's good to look back regardless.

So starting from the left to right we have my OCs Alexia, Karen, Melissa. Now mind you all of these pieces were drawn or colored using my phone, for example Alexia was drawn in the app "Autodesk Sketchbook"  near the end of 2018 and it still feels like my peak, I really felt like I had it down (I still love how she came out and I use her practically for all my account/ page profile pics). Then the bad times rolled in for me early 2019, I became ill and I was admitted to the hospital for a good half of the year. after coming back I had lost all my ability to draw or be confident with anything really. So I finally drew Karen and colored her using the App called "ArtFlow" it was good app very friendly, loved the brushes, but it was super unstable and I lost a lot of potential drawings (you guys know how depressed I get when that happens). I did a rough paint of Karen around November 2019,  which leads to Melissa in December of that same year, I switched to "MediBang" and so far I'm enjoying all of its features! All in all, arts been a good outlet for me, I never really intended to be art student or go to art school, and sure I have odd tastes with my ideas of fantastic niche powers, but nevertheless there is something therapeutic of trying to keep going and keep moving and figuring out things on your own. I have no doubt that I'm not going to be famous or I do question that if my drawings mean anything in the long run, but it means a lot to me that I can share them at least.- Love SM ❤
