March Update

Hi everyoneeee!

Arc 8's public launch last month was a huge success, at peak there were over 2,400 people watching the premiere at once! 😲 I've received so much positive feedback - as well as a LOT of people yelling at me about that cliffhanger 🤭💖 - so I'm very happy!

As a lot of you who have been here a while know, I will be taking a break from making the Office AU for a little while. For those of you who are new or joined us during arc 8's production, this break may last one to two months. During this time, I will continue to stream weekly, but I understand if you want to cancel your membership and return once arc 9's production starts up (if that's the case, keep an eye on my socials for when that will begin).

I believe I stated this in a previous update, but some big life changes will be happening soonish, including renovating my house. This will affect my office, so I don't know if I'll be able to work during that time. I will absolutely keep you all updated on any delays and if I need to pause Patreon for a month! 👍

Now, for what I'm sure you all want to know: ML OFFICE AU ARC 9!

Arc 9 will be the most complex and involved arc (for animation) of this series. That means it will most likely take me the most time to make. The amount of action sequences alone is making me sweat, but I've been excited to work on this arc for years, and I finally feel confident enough in my abilities to pull it off.

I have to approach this arc very differently from previous ones since it will require a lot of pre-production planning, including (drum roll please) STORYBOARDS 😭 Keeping track of action would be super difficult if I made this arc the same way as the previous ones, so putting together storyboards and an animatic that I can time out and reference will be the key to making this arc work. I ALSO need to provide it for the VAs because there will be a lot of noises I'll need them to make, and knowing what I'll need before reaching out to them will be crucial.

Don't ask me about the backgrounds, I don't even want to think about those right now lmao 😬😬😬

So, what does this mean for how I'll be sharing it to Patreon early? I'm not entirely sure yet, the higher tiers will be getting a lot of pre-production behind the scenes during this process, but as for the $3 tier it may take longer to see parts of this arc. I'll have more information once I start working on the arc, and I will share it once I figure everything out!
