And no, I didn't put that much thought into the actual numbers of Miranda's measurements and so forth, so maybe I'm horribly off base about how big a belly would need to be to hold that many babies.

Not unfair, but this is supposed to be a quickie. Just a concept, no real character growth or whatever. But yeah, I have been thinking a lot about worlds where hyper-pregnancy or extreme obesity are common, mostly as a shortcut to not have to explain how the afflicted women are seen by the rest of the world. I might try to step back from that, having characters be unique in this respect or that, but I'd still be shooting for shorter pieces.

2016-08-10 02:35:09 +0000 UTCIf I'm being honest, I thought it was a little uninspired. The descriptions were fine; huge pregnancy? A-OK with me. But setting things in the "hyper-preg" universe is being used itself as a plot, which ends up stale after a while. Coming up with original ideas is tough, definitely.
