----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“It’s this way… I think,” Antonella said, staring at her cell phone with her tail-head while glancing at the street signs with her main one. Maeve crossed her arms a little disappointedly. “You’re using a GPS but still got lost?”

“I’m not familiar with this part of the city…” Antonella replied, pouting at Maeve with her main head. The two were dressed in cozy sweaters and coats to tolerate the cold Christmas night.

“It can’t be that hard… she sent us the address,” Maeve said impatiently, holding out her hand to look at Antonella’s phone. Maeve studied it for a few seconds, moving in and out from the screen a couple of times before her face slowly changed to one of confusion. “Oh… wait…” She rotated the map with her fingers and looked at the street addresses again before slowly turning to Antonella. “…This area is a maze.”

“RIGHT???!” said Antonella laughingly. The two decided to try one of the streets and guided themselves until they reached the entrance of a large house.

“It’s here,” Antonella said while showing her phone to Maeve. The house they found captured their attention as they looked up at it: It was a rather large, well-decorated building, closer to a mansion than a regular house in size and appearance.

“Woah… this is Star’s house?” Maeve said in awe.

“It seems so. It kind of makes a fool of our apartments…” Antonella replied before ringing the bell. The pair waited for a moment before the door slowly opened, revealing Star who was wearing a beautiful Christmas outfit. Antonella raised her hand but before she could say anything Maeve ran up to her excitedly, wagging her tail and ruffling Antonella’s hair.

“Hiiii Staaaar!!” Maeve said gleefully as she jumped to hug Star, who returned the hug with a smile, “Hey girls, please come in. The rest of the girls have already arrived.”

Antonella peeked over Star and Maeve with her tail head and saw a large living room where the other girls were all hanging around. She lowered it when she noticed Jessica, Aely, Barbara, Sophie and Lucy approaching to greet them.

Maeve walked over to Aely and greeted her by holding her lower hands. “So you’re Aely! Star told us a lot about you, it’s nice to meet you!”

Aely laughed, watching as Star blushed from being exposed. “You must be Maeve, right? From what I remember, I heard you’re a gym teacher…?”

“Yep!” Maeve said, wagging her tail happily.

“Nice! I also help Star train and stay in shape… though it wouldn’t hurt to stop by your gym sometime and get some tips from a real pro,” Aely said as Star nodded with her head and tail.

“You’re welcome to come by whenever you want!” Maeve replied warmly before letting go of Aely’s hands and walking over to Antonella, who was chatting with Sophie, Lucy and Jessica at the same time.

She approached the group and joined the conversation, greeting Jessica and speaking to Antonella's tail. “I wish I had two heads like you two so I could greet everyone at the same time,” Maeve playfully muttered. Antonella just giggled and winked as her main head continued talking to Sophie and Lucy.

After a short moment Maeve greeted the rest of the girls and walked over to chat with Jessica. Meanwhile, Antonella and Barbara met up and looked at each other silently for a few seconds, frozen in shock from each other’s presence.

“Wait… I recognize you, are you Barbara Taylor? The popular Undine’s model?!” Antonella said excitedly.

“Are you Antonella Carmine? The Mutant Monthly’s writer…?!” Barbara responded energetically, covering her mouth in surprise. The two took a breath before screaming giddily, holding each other’s hands with bright smiles on their faces. “I'm a big fan of yours!!” they both shouted before laughing together from their mirrored fangirling.

“But how? What are you doing here and why didn't anyone tell me you were coming?” Barbara asked, combing her hair with her hand, “I would have dressed better and got some makeup done if I knew.”

Antonella laughed softly, gesturing with her hands. “No, no, please, you look great…! I’m the one standing in front of a celebrity, so I figured I would be the one nervous about that,” she said humbly before continuing, “I’m assuming you’re an acquaintance of Sophie and Lucy though? Did you three work together on any shoots?”

Barbara smiled and nodded. “Something like that, yeah… we met on several shoots together and they invited me here. I didn’t know they were friends of yours!”

“Port Solei is a small world sometimes,” Antonella replied, giggling a bit. They both walked over to the couch as they continued their conversation. Barbara took up the majority of it as she sat down, and Antonella stopped so as not to inconvenience her.

“There’s room here if you’d like to sit,” Barbara said, pointing between her two hips. Antonella blushed a bit and nodded, carefully sitting against Barbara’s lower belly. She felt so warm that Antonella ended up wrapping her multiple arms around her as they continued to chat and laugh. On the other hand, Sophie and Lucy helped Star prepare hot coffee for everyone while Aely focused on decorating the massive Christmas tree.

“Wow, this place feels so warm,” Jessica said, standing near the fireplace and extending her hands to the fire.

“I didn’t know you were so sensitive to the cold,” Maeve replied, sitting her long body on the couch and enjoying her coffee. Her smile next to her exposed lower belly denoted her resistance to the low temperature.

Jessica pouted with both of her heads. “I don’t understand how you’re not cold, your belly is completely bare… well, one of your bellies.”

Maeve touched her lower torso back with her hand. “I don’t know either… I was always resistant to the cold… though I think it improved after my mutations…”

“I assume you have two hearts now?” Jessica asked, pointing at Maeve’s lower torso. She nodded. “I do, but I think the resistance isn’t because of that, rather something more mental…” she replied, touching her head, “…I’m surprised that I can beat someone with two heads in that.”

Jessica brought her hands closer to the fire. “Having two brains doesn’t help me with mental control… in fact, if I’m afraid of something I have to control both brains so I don’t panic…”

“Ah, that makes sense… I hadn’t thought of it like that,” Maeve said. Antonella’s tail approached Jessica while she continued talking on the couch with Barbara. “What are you talking about?” Antonella asked. Jessica turned her left head towards Antonella to begin explaining the conversation they were having.

Maeve looked at them in surprise, as both Jessica and Antonella could talk to two people at the same time, until Jessica's voice made her react. "Are you listening to me?" Jessica asked with her right head.

"A-Ah, yes... yes, sorry, what were you saying?" Maeve replied in a flustered tone.

"I was wondering if your physical endurance improved after your mutation," Jessica replied. Maeve looked at her back legs and nodded. "Something like that, I don't get as tired when I run... though I consume a lot more calories and need more food because of that."

"Interesting... my diet barely changed when I mutated," Jessica replied, crossing her arms. Maeve laughed, drinking some of her coffee before answering. "Well, it could be because you didn't grow an extra half body like me."

"Yeah, that could be an important factor," Jessica laughingly replied before noticing how Maeve's eyes strayed to her left head and Antonella's tail, "Does it distract you?"

"Not really, but I have a hard time understanding how you guys handle them and how it must feel," Maeve replied.

“You mean having two conversations at once?” Jessica said, looking at Maeve with both heads, which made Antonella look at her as well.

“Yeah, how do your minds not mix up what you’re talking about with different people…?” Maeve asked.

“Oh, they do,” Jessica and Antonella replied at the same time before Antonella continued, “Right now both of my minds are mixing the conversation about the last Mutant Monthly I’m having with Barbara and this other one I’m having here.”

“And how do you not get confused?” Maeve asked, finishing her coffee.

“It’s not something you can do the first day you mutate…” Antonella explained, “…but I just do my best to isolate my brains.”

Jessica nodded with both heads, agreeing with her. “Exactly, with one head you know what topic you’re talking about with the other but you don’t let that brain get flooded with all the details, so it doesn’t distract you as much… and when you finish both conversations you let the details and information flow freely.”

“I see you use the same technique as me,” Antonella’s tail head replied laughingly.

“Are there different techniques?” Maeve asked. Jessica and Antonella looked at each other for a second and then looked at Maeve, “No clue.” “Maybe?” The three of them started laughing altogether.

On the other hand, Sophie and Lucy started helping Aely with the Christmas tree decorations while Star handed them off from the boxes.

“So, you met Star recently?” Sophie asked.

“Yes… actually, it was at Jessica’s hair salon a few months ago,” Aely answered.

“Oh wow, really? We met Star thanks to Antonella,” Lucy replied.

“Y-Yes. I’m surprised Jessica didn’t mention Aely,” Star said with a slight giggle.

“Jessica keeps her clients’ information well-guarded… if it gets to Antonella, she could end up involving that mutant in an erotic story,” Sophie said jokingly.

“Really? I don’t think Antonella would do that…” Star replied, looking at Sophie and Lucy.

“Are you sure?” Lucy said. The three of them stayed silent for a moment before laughing. “W-Well… maybe there’s a small risk of it happening…” Star said sheepishly.

“If it does, I would want a story about me and Star… I think it would be quite erotic,” Aely said naturally, still looking at the tree decorations.

“...EH?!” Star yelled in a flustered tone, turning completely red. Sophie and Lucy covered their mouths. “Ohhhhh my…”

Aely looked over to Star and winked, holding the star that goes on the top of the tree gently. “Get that shocked look off your face and help me. I can’t put the star on the tip.”

“I-I’m shorter than you though…!” Star replied.

“You don’t understand, come here…” Aely said. Before Star had a moment to react Aely used her four arms to lift her with no problems, turning her to sit her on her upper right shoulder. Star blushed and froze, holding the star with her four hands. “Okay… here you go,” Aely said, pointing to the top of the tree.

“Sis… do you think those two…?” Sophie whispered.

“I think Antonella wouldn’t have to lie if she made an erotic story with them…” Lucy whispered. The two of them giggled softly as Star placed the star on the top of the tree.

“The fact that Star placed the star is quite poetic,” Sophie remarked.

“I like that idea,” Star said warmly, settling herself on Aely’s shoulder.

“Hey… don’t get so comfortable, I may be strong but a whole person on my shoulder is a lot,” Aely replied.

“O-Oh… yeah, sorry…” Star said shyly as she climbed off Aely’s shoulder with her help.

“Good!” Lucy cheered, clapping with all four hands, “It turned out great!”

“Perfect! Girls come on, let’s take a picture!” Sophie said, gesturing to the rest of the girls.

The eight girls gathered in front of the Christmas tree which stood out behind them, while Antonella prepared one of the phones with a timer to take multiple photos. The sequence was somewhat silly, with the girls posing in different positions and even having some accidents, which generated more silly photos.

As midnight approached, the girls prepared drinks and prepared to celebrate the arrival of Christmas, raising seven glasses and toasting altogether when the clock struck 12:00am.

“Merry Christmas!!” they all shouted together, drinking their drinks while some eyes were directed towards the Christmas tree.

“Can we open the presents now?” Maeve asked, wagging her tail.

“Of course…” Jessica said, kneeling in front of the tree and taking some to pass around to their respective recipients.

Pleased with their gifts, the eight girls spent the rest of the night watching Christmas movies and drinking, sharing anecdotes about their lives and their experiences as mutants, which is quite common these days in Port Solei.

“A family Christmas,” Antonella said, as she finished taking notes of the story of that night.
