Typically it's a dissociative disorder, the more chrome you are the more your mind struggles to reconcile that you are human. There's a few very rare exceptions in the world, but those are generally accepted as "So mentally screwed up that cyberpsychosis doesn't really effect them because they're already broken and dissociative." Since you finished the show you've already met one. You can meet him again in the game and see just how messed up he is.

I was never a fan of the setting in the game, but i fell in love with this show and i just love how ANYTHING could happen at any time, its a city of criminals and corrupt corpos running the whole city, full of death, love, addiction, happiness, and tragedy. You can gain and lose everything in night city and this single storyline alone with David is perfect
