There IS a reason for all this being smooshed into a few episodes. For a bit the anime was lagging behind the Manga hence so many filler episodes (and things like different villages' uniform colors changing up etc) but eventually things do get caught up and you get a big info dump lol. Then once more the anime out paces the Manga a bit and you get filler etc A lot of this info was in the works lol. Looking back now I can see the places where it happens etc and I have re-watched and re-binged on these eps so many times phew! You guys are doing an amazing job. And you likely had people say what I already said but just in case!! Keep doing what you're doing!! ❤️❤️

So far we've seen the 6 paths references pop up in many places; 6 Paths of Pain, The Sharingan' tomoe (mini 6's that reach up to having 6 across both eyes), The 6's aligned across Naruto' Nine Tailed form, The Gracious Gates that stemmed from Minato' sealing technique (originally the Uzumaki') that Naruto now controls, etc. They'll continue to be a recurring theme but till now, it's branch has reached beyond that of the Uzumaki! Kurama was always able to sense the tier of hatred within a vessel and pull it out in order to attempt at manipulating them, with Naruto now controlling it's chakra he can also sense the 'intent' of other people. Which differs from the basic manner of chakra sensing that sensory types rely on! So now he has both high tier sensory from Sage Mode capable of sensing across an entire village like he did in the Pain arc & even intent sensing, useful in instances where proper sensory may be ineffective like this one. I think ya'll are just forgetting a bit how the 8 inner gates work. Remember that when we were first introduced to i by Rock Lee it was introduced as a double edged sword that got stronger each gate you open, but also came with greater strain on the body to the point that the 8th gate just straight up killed you. We saw how bad Lee was after opening just 5, so guy usually just opens 5 or 6 as his body can handle that level of strain. But due to the importance of getting that scroll he pushed himself to the limit. and opened the 7th gate for the first time in the anime!

Ngl in my opinion, this fight is in the anime poorly executed. I can absolutely understand Ron and Michelle's reactions when they get upset that everyone is just watching (when Kisame absorbs the chakra or destroys the prison). In the manga, everything happens fluidly and in a short amount of time. But also overall, the execution was poor. In the manga, it was a peak fight. In the anime, however, it feels, as Ron and Michelle say, like it was way too easy. However, the flashbacks were, as always, well done. 🤝

Yes, he hard counters Kisame. Kisame is weaker without Samehada. All of the swordsmen are weaker without their sword counterpart. Samehada is his main way to absorb chakra. Yes Guy has Chakra, but his attacks do not use chakra. Kisame launched Super Shark Bomb not realizing Hirudora has no chakra. That is called a hard counter. Kisames entire kit relies on taking chakra. He would have to physically touch Guy with Samehada, which he didn't have. Edit: Attacks like Asakujaku and Hirudora, you know, the 2 attacks he used in this fight? Which don't require physical touch and are fired at range with no chakra in them.

Man, the way Kisame went out was just freaking POETIC, one of the most emotional-impactful moments in the series, in my opinion. Being as he was before meeting the Akatsuki, not caring about anyone else but himself and, then, dying to protect his Akatsuki comrades was a hell of a character development, just beautiful. Yes, his motives were wrong but still, It was impressive. At the end of his life, as his final sentence, he says: "maybe I wasn't so worthless after all, Itachi". That just gave me chills. Not to mention Guy's line: "Hoshigaki Kisame, I'll never forget you". Man, only Naruto makes you feel like that about a villain, what a freaking EPIC show.

Minato was indeed fast without is teleportation but his biggest gift was his reaction time. He couldn’t move like the raikage but he was fast enough to react to speed like attack without a sharingan and activate his jutsu before anyone else.

It was mentioned in previous episode(s) that the Sage of the 6 paths had 2 sons- the eldest son inherited his eyes which the clan later became known as the Uchiha & the younger son inherited his will & chakra which the clan later became known as the Senju (1st Hokage's clan). Naruto's mom mentioned that the Uzumaki clan have immense/special chakra & specialized in sealing jutsus. She also mentioned that the Senju & the Uzumaki clans are distant relatives. Then she said that the 1st Hokage's wife was an Uzumaki and the previous jinchuriki of the 9 tails. Since she was getting old, they brought Kushina (Naruto's mom) to the village due to her exceptionally special chakra so she'll be able to contain or suppress the 9 tails. Tobi mentioned before that Naruto inherited the 1st Hokage's will and Sasuke inherited the Uchiha eyes just like the 1st Hokage & Madara. So they are both fated to battle like the 1st hokage & madara did. Since the Uzumaki clan are distant relatives with the Senju clan, I believe Naruto must be a distant descendant of the Sage of the 6 paths. He's also distantly related to Tsunade since her grandma is an Uzumaki and grandpa is Senju. That's probably why Naruto was able to wear her necklace which was given to her by her grandfather, the 1st Hokage. Naruto's mom did mention that the Uzumaki clan have distinct RED hair & after their clan was destroyed, they split all over the world.........so believe what you will if Nagato & Karin (both red haired) are from the Uzumaki clan or not.

And then if you want, you can also make a compilation vid. And then once you catch up, you can watch the openings at the end of a season. My thinking is that the kekkei genkai of the mist village are just like full body augmenting things - like the uchiha and the hyuga have special eyes, the uzumaki clan has immense chakra, kimimaro had the bone kekkei genkai - it seems like the hidden mist have water-related kekkei genkai - in the case of kisame his clan likely has a shark-like kekkei genkai, suigetsu's clan likely has a water affinity kekkei genkai. It's just a genetic jutsu that they're born into

btw as you guys were speculating about being able to sense chakra, immediately before that kisame was saying that his detection abilities transcended just chakra - he can sense the intent of people, it's not a chakra based ability. If you look at the fact that wood style jutsu was growing just by being near it, stands to reason that he's like brimming with nature energy so my thinking is he has a heightened awareness for living things of all kinds

Going into the 7 out of 8 gates is probably one of the strongest things if not the strongest we've seen in Naruto. 8th gate kills you, for example. So you have to imagine the power it must give you to be so close to guaranteed death. If you recall the early episodes, its not a matter of just wanting to do it. People can't just say "I choose to open gate (blank)", you have to both be strong enough and train hard enough to be able to even open it, and even opening it is insanely risky and life threatening. Sure, gate 8 is guaranteed death but each gate is still insanely taxing and challenging to pull off. We just have the luxury of being **this** far into Naruto so Guy Sensei jumping to Gate 7 was to convey how insanely serious and willing to die he was to stop Kisame from endangering the leaf village in this coming war.

In general, teleportation jutsu is any jutsu of fast movement unperceivable by the eyes. Since Naruto now has so much chakra, this amplifies tremendously his physical abilities (to the point it can hurt him), and his top speed is unperceivable by the average eye, so it's like a teleportation jutsu. Minato's teleportation is similar to summoning jutsu, where he can move through space. Naruto's just super fast.

Ron, it would help to rewatch the episode where Tobi told Itachi's story to Naruto (ep 203). Long story short, he mentioned the conflict between the Senju and Uchiha clans that the two sons of the Six Paths Daddy started. The elder brother inherited powerful eyes (Uchiha's ancestor), and the younger brother inherited life energy power, including a huge amount of chakra, stamina, etc. (Senju's ancestor). In previous episodes, Naruto's mom mentioned that the Uzumaki clan used to have good relations with the Senju. For generations, they had a tradition of arranged marriages with them. So if we sum up these parts of the story, we can say that both the Uzumaki and Uchiha clans are descendants of the Six Paths Big Boss Man

I still respect him to an extent because he is the guy that the mist could rely on to do the tough missions and bring back positive results almost all the time. Even in the Akatsuki, he did his part. Couple of things: 1. Kushina had nothing to do with the Deity Gates, Naruto used the gates which is the new seal, instead of the seal Minato used on his birthday. The nine tails said "Is this... the six paths" in reference to the gate that Naruto used 2. Naruto didn't use a teleportation jutsu in that moment, it was a reference to the Yellow Flash because Naruto moved so quickly but it was only a reference to Teleportation, not the actual thing. Long story short Naruto is fast as fuck now lol 3. I fucking love the theories at the end of the episode lol it's so great to hear first time viewers theorise like this
