2024-02-21 19:07:51 +0000 UTCIf you liked how this anime wasn't set in Japan, you might like Cyberpunk Edgerunners. I don't know if you guys have seen it yet but it also takes place in America with diverse characters. It's a short watch as well so you could get through it pretty quickly

2024-02-21 03:21:16 +0000 UTCIf you want something short and sweet, Afro Samurai if you haven't seen it. It is only dubbed (American made) only 5 episodes and a movie. Lots of blood and violence like this show and MC voiced by Sam Jackson. Other VA's to note are Mark Hamill, Lucy Liu, Ron Pearlman and many others. Oh also music is all done by RZA which I'm sure Ron would appreciate.

2024-02-21 01:17:22 +0000 UTCThe music is all English because it’s meant to first be for American/English audiences (hence why it is first broadcast on Adult Swim and English is the default language even for the credits). I’m still amazed Adult Swim got this over Netflix or Hulu tbh. They handle distribution/licensing better imo. But yeah, that’s also why Japan gets their Japanese-dub release the next day and why you’ll also notice the subs are pretty “Americanized”. I’m just glad both sub and dub sound good.
