Just a lil piece of info to help clear a little confusion and answer one of your questions, but the drawback of turning off the Amaterasu is the same as the drawback of using Amaterasu which is going blind. The reason he's wondering about what the ability is goes to the fact that each eye has its own ability, but they are usually related. If you notice when Itachi used Tsukiyomi it was always specific to one eye and when he used Amaterasu is was specific to the other eye!

I don't know if I missed it but did Ginger ever answer what he would have done if it was him and his brother that in place of Sasuke and Itachi. Him being Sasuke of course because I am pretty fascinated to hear his answer. Also yes Sasuke doesn't have the curse mark anymore but the point was that his body is compatible with Jugo's due to living through receiving the curse mark. Remember when Orochimaru gave it to Sasuke he said I hope you live through this. Think of this situation as an organ transplant. Jugo is the donor and Sauke is the patient instead of having to do tests to see if they are compatible the fact that Sasuke's body accepted the curse mark and he didn't die as the curse mark is derived from Jugo proves that the two are a match. Plus Jugo can grow attachments and limbs to his curse mark-transformed body, so for me I get it.

Everyone's mangekyo sharingan is unique. Sasuke's two eyes are amaterasu (itachi passed it on when he transfered it to him to use on madara), and ending an amaterasu (you saw 1 eye use the fire, the 2nd eye shutting it off). So for sasuke the only "drawback" is using both mangekyo which will cause blindness.

To my understanding, only few people are compatible with the curse mark, or are able to handle its power. Sasuke does not have the curse mark anymore, but he is still compatible/able to handle it. That’s why Jugo knew it was going to work, him being the original curse mark, he knew Sasukes body was able to handle it, since he had the mark before. But yes, Sasuke doesn’t have the power of the curse mark anymore, but is still very much compatible. It’s like a Blood type, you are able to give your blood only to whoever is compatible with your type. Idk if that example helps lol but yeah that’s what I got out of it. Uchiha and Senju just have more chakra than everybody else which is why kakashi has a hard time always using the sharingan as it takes a lot of chakra to use. His body is just not made for the amount of chakra the sharingan takes up. He can still use it though, he just drains a lot quicker.

Itachi was able to extinguish the flames. It was shown when he "tiramisu-ed" Sasuke's fleshy flaps during their fight and just before Sasuke could turn into crisp, Itachi shut it off. Minor instance I just realized after rewatching the scene and already knew Itachi's story -- proof that he's just was just pushing Sasuke to the edge, no intent to kill. Dang, I miss Itachi. 💔

Sasukes has the ability to use amaterasu and also use the other eye to control the flames. Theres no drawbacks apart from the immense strain and eventually going blind from using it too much just like Itachi was losing his eye sight

That's because is most likely each sharingan user has its own personal experience / personality to the Mangekyo sharingan when its first activated. Meaning each of them experience different when the mangenkyo was reached so each of them have different abilities. This why Mangekyo literal means Kaleidoscope. Using it as a methaphor in life helps explains why each of them have different abilities because every one has different personalities and experience towards life views etc etc.

Did you guys realize that Sasuke had awakened his sharingan for the first after the massacre and what his brother said. We thought he awakened it when he fought Haku but he would have had one tomoe instead he had 2 in his eyes. When you awaken the sharingan your eyes turn red with one tomoe and eventually the more heightened your emotions you’ll gain 2 and 3 tomoe. And I think Jugo used his curse mark to heal Sasuke since his body is compatible with the curse mark as well and was able to use the curse mark better than Jugo before it was taken away by Itachi. And Mangekyo Sharingan has abilities that are unknown to you guys as of now but is explained better later on and the pattern of it also looks different for everyone

To clear up the confusion about the Amaterasu (which a lot of people that already watched the show still have): the User of Amaterasu can extinguish the flames by himself (as seen by Itachi doing it couple of seconds after hitting Sasuke with it in their respective fight). People believe that's part of Sasuke's other Eye's power, which is not true. That fight against Killer B is pretty misleading cause it shows Sasuke's left eye activating the Amaterasu and his right eye deactivating it, but what y'all seen here is just the power of his left eye. We also saw in the previous episode (142) how Sasuke used a Genjutsu with his right Mangekyo to interrogate a Kumo-Gakure (Cloud Village) Ninja, which also doesn't make sense, since it was just basic Sharingan Genjutsu, seen as he wasn't hurt or similar in any way from using the apparent Mangekyo. So basically you only saw the ability of Sasuke's left eye, yet. Idk why they did that except for showing off Sasuke's new-looking Eye and other reasons that would serve as, at least, a Mini-Spoiler so Imma just stfu lol Love y'all guys, can't repeat it enough! The thing with Jugo saving Sasuke. As I understood it, Orochimaru literally created the curse mark from Jugo's ability. But not everyone is compatible with the curse mark (aka Jugo's ability), so Jugo wouldn't be able to do this to just anyone. This is why Jugo mentions that it should work, since Sasuke was compatible with the curse mark. Since Jugo's ability allows him to morph his body in different ways, I think Jugo morphed part of his body, to replace the organs that Sasuke lost, sort of how in real life, scientists try to grow organs from stem cells. In this case Jugos cells are the stem cells, and Sasuke is compatible with them. This is all just how I understand the whole scene. But I could be totally wrong. I don't remember the show ever going into a deeper explanation, but it has also been quite a few years since I saw the show last. So maybe I just forgot. Just to debunk some of your theories for better. Yes you can take sharingans for you but it wont be as powerful as how tobi is using it. for example, kakashi is limited into using his and take alot of chakra if ur not an uchiha. But in tobi’s case he slips through objects normally and plenty of times, that make him an uchiha. And for the Itachi/tobi relation. Remember Tobi said itachi noticed him slipping in and out the uchiha hideout which only uchiha’s can know. All in all, these facts makes Tobi a real uchiha. And Tobi/madara being able to manipulate people like this also confirms that he is indeed an uchiha, and the likes of Madara and Itachi can do it. Even Current(your timeline) Sasuke can’t do those things. Sorry but you guys can think of another theories by considering these haha peace out
