The opening song for the anime is what a kpop song sounds like (considering it is in fact Kpop. Considering what is happening here in the scene with jin woo losing emotion and having to slaughter human beings, it couldn't be more of a perfect choice. In fact i thought it made this scene better than in the manhwa which is very hard to do. you are the first person of hundreds of thousands of comments all over the internet i've seen complain about the musical score choice lol.

The real development in this scene isn't the fighting but the realization that the "bad guys" aren't always monsters but humans too. He never thought twice about killing a monster but had to acknowledge he killed a human and reassure himself of that decision after killing the first guy. They made a great choice to emphasize that realization and, moving forward, i'm sure he'll be less hesitant making that decision and we'll get some badass/faster-paced music.

In the previous episode he finished all of his daily training outside of the running before he found the job request and said he would do it later. Then once he got to the dungeon gate the screen appeared showing his quest completed but he ignored it to greet dongsuk and forgot about it. Also the system is trying to keep him alive so it will pop up things like the sudden quest we saw or that he hadnt used his status recovery yet.

So it was a trend that Jinwoo was already starting to pick up on that the system had a motive behind everything, it just wasnt clear yet. Theres a guy on YT called AniNews that does a great spoiler free recap/coverage of events from the light novel/manwha. If you want to dive a little deeper without spoiling the story for yourselves you should check him out.
