I love how Ron says this is how having a child is like, he compares their relationship to a parent and child. I know a lot of other fans who view their relationship as romantic, a lot of others who view it as platonic. And honestly, neither are wrong. Their relationship is beautiful and pure, no labels, just two of them existing together in the same time and space is all they need.

I'm gonna disagree on your opinion to One Piece, because it's one of the very few aimes that never dissapointed me at any point. Whereas naruto, bleach even aot dissapointed me at least once. and with HxH i hated moments where killua wasn't himself. and that can count as a little dissapointment as well. one piece has a whole world described in detail and thoroghly organized and thought of since the very early episodes that only becomes bigger and bigger as you acknowledge the world of one piece. no one has ever thought of the world that big or if he tried it just didn't work the same way. the plot, the storytelling and the whole universe is all about logic probably one of maybe 5 animes i ever watched that was the most logical of all time

I get what you saying. I got too nerdy about animes and tend to analyze them too much, comparison is a big part of my own thinking process, but it can come out as judgmental. In reality I'm not trying to underrate one anime to hype up another. Personally the more I value something the more critical I am about it lol. My point is that it’s super annoying when you can’t just say a good thing about HxH. Like the comparison itself didn’t need to be made at all, it’s just you throwing out random strays. Your comment could have just been “HxH has great character writing” Instead it was “HxH has good character writing and actually this other show that wasn’t even part of the conversation has mediocre character writing”

Okay just getting it out there Kumogi is just a normal girl with the greatest gungi skills in the world she’s just built different in that skills of her and this is the first time she’s faced an opponent that not only learns fast but is highly intelligent and quick to adapt , and that being still can’t beat her. Also the ironic part of this episode is that her parents never given her affection but experienced it first hand not by a human but from a monster. Man this arc is peak asf.

The king and Komugi have an interesting relationship. It's the kings first time feeling care for another being. Not even in a romantic way, cause that's not really the vibe they give off. But more of a love in its purest form. That's what it feels like. There's just a patience and innocence to it.

No one is here to argue with anyone my friend, it's simply my reading reflection after reading two good books, and I never expected most people to care. Since it's a HxH reaction video, I couldn't help but praised the one aspect that I prefer HxH over AoT, and I made this comparison because I do think these two excel in two different areas.

What?? I rate both HxH and AoT as top 5 shonen. A show will always have its strength and weakness. It’s not that hard to look at each aspect of a show separately, without judging the whole thing black and white. One piece is also one of my favourites, obviously it’s extremely imaginative and expansive, romantic and heart touching, but compares to show like AoT and HxH, OP obviously lacks logic; and compared to HxH and Naruto, Oda clearly isnt best at drawing battles, especially 1v1. AoT has an epic coherent storytelling with a deep theme, while HxH stories are more fragmented between arcs with a lack of main theme.. I’m just giving my perspectives on the animes I like, no show is perfect, that’s all. I’ll put it this way then: AoT feels more like the author is moving characters as chess pieces for his mastermind vision, HxH feels more like the author has programmed the characters individually and let them move on their own. AoT characters aren’t bad, but they clearly serves for the plot. HxH characters are the plot.

It is more subtle in the anime but the eagle was actually made aggressive by the King's aura when he was having his moment. And Komugi, being the weakest being nearby, became the target of that aggression.

This arc is peak anime. I thought he was going to change his mind after that critical hit damage "what is ur name" attack lol. But he got me with his speech to rural guard and I thought damn he gonna double down and kill her. But once again wrong the moment he saw her in danger he just reacted to protect her. It was then with his mannerisms that I knew this dude has no idea what's happening to him lol

Hard disagree with this on AOT. I love HxH but the one thing I really don’t like is that a lot of HxH fans feel the need to say negative things about other shows constantly. Like, it’s possible to say “wow, HxH has great character writing,” without saying “also AoT’s micro character writing sucks 🤓”

This story is insane indeed. Like I think almost everyone including me also predicted that the king would change his mind, especially when he talked to his Royal Guards, but actually he got worse lol. Then beyond his thought, he protected Komugi...just wow. In his thought, his logic, he's still the same but his instinct tells him different.

The King and Komugi never fail to pull my heartstrings. Every time they are together, it’s weirdly wholesome. I mean, outside the palace, everyone is literally fighting and scheming life and death battles, and here in the palace, it’s just a monster (who is supposed to the leader of the villain squad) and a nameless blind girl quietly playing game together. The contradiction is too crazy that makes you wonder how they can be in possibly in the same anime and be happening at the same time but somehow it works. No one writes a story like Togashi-sensei does.

Ron is like waiting for the moment Komugi suddenly stabs and kills the unsuspecting king and laughs like an crazy murderer that was sent by the Chairman and the Chairman appears and pats Komugi on the back 🤣🤣🤣 On a side note, I don't think there is/was any other anime or even manga, that developed characters using a simple board game, as well as what is on show here. I dare say the standout reason for this anime to be rated as highly as it is, is because of this arc, and this arc alone

HxH is by far the best shonen anime at micro level narration. Sorry have to compare HxH to AoT again because these two both have extremely smart writings in completely different ways. AoT is absolutely amazing on macro level narration, but really pales in comparison to HxH when it comes to details such as characters’ unique personalities and emotions. Too many times AoT depicts humans to show identical emotions, tbh it’s kind of an oversimplification of human nature for its grander theme. HxH, however, doesn’t have a “main theme”, that’s why characters can be a bunch of different weirdos, while at the same time, each character’s “weirdness” makes perfect logical sense based on their unique personality. The character “variety” aspect in HxH is truly masterful.

Kumogi's body gloating was her nen awakening. Do you remember when master Wing said that Nen comes in different forms for each people? Kumogi's nen increases drastically her habilities to think and make strategies. She was a number one Gungi player with her micropores sealed, now with them open she will become even better.

This episode does a great job of illustrating both literally and metaphorically the journey of self discovery. The biggest turning point so far for the King has been when he begins to wonder what his name is, literally "who am I". He then thinks he has come to a logical conclusion about his physical place in the world but he doesn't take into consideration his feelings and how they could be weighed against his physical nature. The story of a monster becoming more "human"? Such a great episode I'm glad you guys liked it!
