There is another reason that will be revealed hundreds of episodes later. I believe dan as a measure for kicks here referes to levels in karate.

Like when zoro climbed out of the well in the LA, he was walking the wrong way which is why he ran into the poisoned luffy. So he Will continue to get lost randomly in comedic ways π

2024-01-03 23:01:46 +0000 UTCSanji was trained by Zeff. Don't forget Zeff was called the Red-Leg during his pirate days. Because he only beat with his legs which were turning red from the blood of his enemies. This is also why he retired after isolation with Sanji. He was missing a leg to fight lol
