yeah that makes total sense!! i remember reading this arc as it game out when it was actively being dubbed “hiatus x hiatus” so i know the feeling 😭😭 it was drawn poorly half the time and the arc would really drag with month long breaks between 2 exposition chapters so it was rough :p maybe bc i went through that experience i’m just amazed with how the anime goes through it all

@Jay rellim You're right, they had a bunch of awesome and important stuff going on (that I now enjoy and appreciate!) but for some reason my brain was not into these four episodes initially. While I definitely don't mind Togashi's tendency to expound or expand on certain plots or topics...hm, could be that I wanted to know what was happening with the king or I wanted to rush the story along to the planned attack. So maybe, it felt like the story was being extended when I didn't feel it necessary. Now that I'm thinking about it, there's another grouping of episodes in this arc that dragged on to me at first watch (118-121). Not bad episodes at all, just I wanted to see or move onto to other characters or situations.

i agree with michelle, you gotta find happiness in the exposition heavy or worldbuilding episodes. who knows if all the info is necessary, but having everything back to back to back would be a bit rushed imo. storytelling that stretches your patience before giving you exactly what you need is both annoying and fun i hope :p enjoy the long arc ahead of you!!

Yep, one of those information bridge building episodes. I must admit episodes 98-101 were some hard ones to get through at first watch. But they're important overall to the arc so I rewatched them.
