About the end of this fight, Kishimoto was in Hospital during that period, so the editors wanted him to finish this arc as fast as possible, so we never really knew how strong Kakuzu really is. In Kishimoto's original plans, Kakuzu and Hidan were supposed to attack Konoho and destroys it. That's how strong they were.

That deer sprit forest is actually a real thing in japan. It's called the Nara forest and shikamaru clan name is also Nara. There are some interesting legends about that place :)

That just isn't true lol, some of the greatest English VAs have worked on Naruto/Shippuden like Troy Baker, Steve Blum, Neil Kaplan, Liam O'Brien & Crispin Freeman, just to name a few that stand out. Preferring sub or dub because of familiarity bias is normal and to be expected, but claiming that every dub voice is "incredibly robotic and emotionless" is just a dumb take.

But regardless of if you agree or disagree, I feel like as a viewer it's ok to have opinions like this. It's just ultimately up to the reactor to determine if said piece of criticism or advice has merit. No no, it's finished. He is only 50% complete because he has about a 50% chance of it landing, like when he tried it against Kakuzu and it failed the first time. But the Rasen Shuriken is a complete jutsu itself. I remember when people were confused about that before as well, so it's all good.

So hyped for the next arc (season 6), my personal favorite of the series. Season 8 the arc that comes after is a close second. Im regards to the filler arc that im assuming and hoping yall skip, there are like a few short scenes in the middle or so that are actually from the manga. The filler arc is actually okay but still not worth watching for reaction. It would take at least a couple months to get through, and especially since the next arc is so epic, no one wants to wait for it haha.

yeah, you may have a bit of bias towards the dub if that's what you originally watched it in, sure, but that same logic applies to sub viewers as well. Regardless, I don't think that's the only case in which someone would prefer it or think it's good. The dub genuinely has some great voice acting, and that seems to be a popular opinion among naruto fans as a whole. Have you watched it all the way through in dub? Cause if so, I really can't understand where you got emotionless from. Also, with the whole shikamaru scene, I'm more so talking about wording and dialogue. I think the final line he said to hidan was worded and executed better in the dub.

In the bottom right when if fully pans down there is what I think might just be a bush, but it looks suspiciously a lot like the top knot of one of the Nara clan or my first thought, Shikaku
