2024-01-05 23:36:21 +0000 UTCRubber can be cut, as much as it can be ripped off. Luffy's only advantage is from hits, falls and of course bullets, when he just bounces off and doesn't feel a thing. So from a normal punch or a beat down or ever a high fall he couldn't care less, but knives and swords can pretty much be leathal. Don't you guys think that he is just untouchable And one more thing: Ginger you were right about most of the crews just having a strong dominante leader and the rest are just trash, and so far you've only seen Shanks's and Luffy's crew who's shown actually guality over quantity. Alvida, Buggy, Kuro and others like them -- they are just intimidating and that's exactly how they get so many people join their crews but in the end they are just dictators that use their numbers to scare off humble people. Whereas Luffy is searching for good people with big hearts and they all end up having bigger goals and skills to help them reach their goals eventually, that are not scared to give up and become stronger along the way. That's what makes them special and Luffy doesn't want an army under him, he said in the early episodes himself, and of course remember his promise to Shanks: he'll gather up a crew who's gonna be even greater than Red-Haired Pirates, so that alone says a lot. P.S. Luffy doesn't kill people

What you've seen so far in the Live Action, and what you will see until Sanji joins the Straw Hats in the anime, is literally only the tip of the iceberg, just the surface level of backstory. And Luffy's backstory is added to literally throughout the whole anime, so I cannot WAIT for you guys to get thru the anime! I really hope you catch up soon, but I'm not too sure how long a thousand episodes will take at your current pace LOL.

But consider it like game terms, all the groups that Luffy fights against at the beginning of the anime are mobs, they're low-level, he just needs to level up step by step until he reaches those top bosses. Low-level Luffy can't instantly defeat low-level enemies without some sort of strategy and crew, so as he builds it up, they get stronger and stronger and fight stronger and smarter enemies. Trust me when I say that not all groups will have mindless minions once Luffy gets past a certain stage. Some might pop up now and then even in the future but the anime DOES include Comedy as a genre so it's there as a gimmick but without making the plot lose any quality at all! 👍

I loved the start of the anime when I watched it, and absolutely adore it now, but I just can't unsee buff Zoro and Luffy with their scars and stuff haha. This feels so weird gosh. I know it's gonna take you guys like forever to reach Saboady Arc, but I cannot WAIT for you guys to see the biggest anime glow up in their appearances when it comes along oof.

They truly did an insanely good job with it in the live action. I might prefer the live action version of it to the anime's. As for Nami's backstory tho.. That shit is WAAAAAY better here. Your reactions to that are what I'm looking forward to the most. Speaking of, just to give you a heads up, you should plan to watch 35-37 together in a triple upload. Those episodes go really well together, if you want the most emotional impact possible 💪

I actually think you’re right too, though: I think OP would be most enjoyed by kids (6-12) and then adults (20 and up). I feel like most teenagers would have a difficult time getting past the goofiness to even see the themes. You should definitely come back to it later on if you get a chance, though.

I still really liked the LA, though, and it did an amazing job at getting people to try out the anime/manga who never would have otherwise.

Even as of today the crew is still not complete although there are rumors that we've already met the last strawhat pirate. I'm just as excited as you guys for your One Piece journey. Watching it again feels so good tbh.

2023-11-25 12:51:55 +0000 UTCOne of the influencer in Japan has said, "a good story is not only a story that you enjoy it when you read/watch it at the moment, but it's something that you realize when you look back after moving forward with the story." I think that's what One Piece and HxH are so good about. Many will say this arc is not good and that arc is better and whatever, but when I look back and revisit some arcs again, or even some little scenes, or little dialogues, I realized there are so many connection, not only the story wise but also the character development wise. So I hope you guys will enjoy the ride.
