2023-11-24 01:20:56 +0000 UTCYeah, that Captain Morgan guy was the one who was rumoured to have “killed” Kuro (It was mentioned in the Live Action aswell). He was supposed to be a con artist/fraud who isn’t strong at all but the Live Action made him a lot stronger and made Zoro & Luffy have to team up to take him down, which didn’t make sense and I also kinda didn’t like tbh. I know they had to flesh out the story to make it interesting in a Live Action route but Luffy & Zoro having to team up against someone like that was kinda weird to see.

At the same time Cried at, Badass moments ect. This show is truly special as it a ride of all emotions I don’t know any show that’s like this adventure tbh I’m caught up to OP it’s in my top 5 but not my top 3 but that’s just me. I understand how ANYONE could say this is the best anime of all time.

A lot of funny details in the Zoro backstory that gives him personality that they cut out in "one pace". I would really recommend watching either off cam or on cam. preferably on cam :)

Kuro being actually a threat, his crew turning on him, his backstory, and Kaya pulling out a gun. All great stuff, plus that track when it’s a Kaya scene is pretty dope lol Also, really good catch not only on the Captain Morgan connection, but on noticing that flash of caring about Kaya that Kuro had. It’s so quick but I think it’s super interesting they didnt just lean 100% into him being a cold killer.

The world building/story telling/easter eggs/foreshadowing in this show is better than in any show that i've ever watched. You wont notice most of these until you get into 100s of episodes. But knowing you guys like to make theories, you will love this journey.

This is what we mean when we say One Pace cuts a lot of context. One Pace rushed that part of the story. Consider that if you ever get tempted to switch back in the future... you will miss a lot of characterization. Great reaction! Next two arcs are goated :)
