Also one pace can feel rushed at times and I feel like there are times when the pace is intentionally slower in the source material that they get rid of

2023-11-12 02:36:39 +0000 UTCi know you guys are reacting to the episodes for one piece but as something to consider (others can weigh in on how feasible this is), there are movies for the arcs that pull out the fillers though fans might have to let you know a few individual episodes to watch wherre it tightens up the plot a bit too much. Just something to be aware of.

2023-11-10 12:10:30 +0000 UTCEven without talking about how Toei use the anime for money, a MANGA like One Piece can't exist nowadays as I explained. so the question of the anime using the "slow formula" or not wouldn't even exist in the first place. But yeah you're right, Toei really like to put money above the quality of their shows and it's a shame. But it's the Japanese mentality in general: "if something works, why should we change?" (btw manga/anime are not recognized as art in japan, only money making machines)

As someone wholly opposed to One Pace as a general viewing experience, I totally understand that there are points much later on where the regular anime will make a reaction format tough. I would the manga is fleshed out without it being slow but the anime is padded out for $$$$$$ so toei can fill there pockets on an infinite running series. Let's be real here, they don't use the slow formula anymore because it's dated and was only used as a money formula. If one piece were seasonal the quality and pacing would be god tier

But when the slow shit hits you all will be commenting complaining about how you all forgot how slow and dragged out it is. This happens on almost every reaction with one piece.

The backstories also will keep getting better and better, but they definitely still hit early on as well.

I think OP fans were kinda disappointed cause this ChouChou scene was left out in the OPLA but the OPLA did give them a brief appearance so fans would not be too disappointed.

There's a significant amount of backstory, which helps you become more attached to the characters and their stories.

2023-11-09 00:49:19 +0000 UTCTo add a bit more to what you're saying, yes it ruins the flavor for some things if you watch one pace, if you are ok that the story will be slower at times keep to the original, just ask us what fillers are worth seeing, some do bring a lot to the story but i cant give an example without spoiling stuff. If you think it would look like lazy content or just be boring for yourself or the audience i guess swapping to one pace then wouldn't be that bad. Considering how you two are hyping yourself and making jokes about 5 minutes of stare in your Naruto's videos i think you'll be fine watching the original too, you're probably gonna make it entertaining yourself.

But something of the feeling gets lost in One Pace and some little scenes get cuted but their are so importent to unterstand the characters (Sorry for the bad english, I'm from Germany)
