Naruto pacing can be slow. The old days~ Your reaction to the repeated word scenes are funny. Sometimes when there repeats is because there was commercial breaks in between. You don't see it since those have been cut out. Anyway, Sakura may have been weak but keep in mind that she was personally trained one on one by Tsunade, one of the Legendary Sannin, reputed to be one of the world's most powerful and strongest kunoichi in ninja history, a remarkable combatant and medical-nin. That flashback of their training was how Tsunade first started training Sakura in combat as a medical ninja. She may not be strong alone but she has Granny Chiyo who is also a legend herself. Sasori may be strong and part of the Akatsuki but the young ones are always growing and becoming stronger.

BTW, Narutos pacing is very slow. So many more eps in the future are gonna feel like this where it feels extremely slow. Filler eps have NOTHING to do with the canaon storyline. Ex, Had we been watching the Granny chiyo n Sakur and sasori fight and then next episode we have the whole gang at the village having a birthday party then that would be a filler. Fillers are drastically obvious and hard to miss.

I mean to be fair with Sakura she's not supposed to be a combative type, like she does deal heavy damage but her combat prowess and skills aren't her strong suit, she's trained to be a medical ninja first most. It's basically a healer in a videogame, healers in videogames can deal damage and some actually are good at it but they will never out perform someone who actually specializes into dealing damage, so healers would switch their focus into defense and support. Either than that I don't like her as a character either since her personality doesn't appeal to me and I want to watch someone get sent flying into 4 mountains, not 2 episodes of dodging and trying to get that 1 lucky punch in LMAO

Jaraiya was actually looking into Orochimaru and the Akatski. Training/guarding Naruto was a side gig. Naruto and Jaraiya were traveling mostly, whereas Sakura and Tsuna were in one place. It’s like trying to react to videos while on vacation vs while home.

VA-wise they both are nearly on par in my mind. I prefer some subbed VA’s over dubbed and some dubbed VA’s over subbed, but where the argument for dubbed imo can really be made is in the phrasing. The dialogue when it’s translated from Japanese to English in the subbed at times can feel too formal/antiquated, and it’s true that the dubbed has some of the best lines/quotes that lose their impact in their subbed translation.

Like a lot of people have said, the pacing (in episode 24 in particular) is REALLY slow, and an intentional use of “padding” on the creators part I believe so as not to catch up to the manga when this first aired. The Team Guy “clone” fights are all padding, and it really sucks that they use them to parse 2 amazing fights, but I understand why they did it back then…

I don't where it comes from (it was a while back now), but Sasori was considered at that time as the 4th strongest Akatsuki member and Itachi the 3rd. But that was at a point where power creep wasn't a deal yet, Even then, Sasori tends to be a bit underestimated nowadays when he's actually crazy strong.

Although Sasori isn't weak by any means, in terms of whats to come regarding the skillsets we are going to see, I wouldn't even label him as a "final boss". It makes perfect sense as to why Chiyo and Sakura can hold their own against Sasori.

Sakura was always good at controlling chakra ever since Kakashi taught them how to use it to climb trees and walk on water and was a natural better than Naruto and Sasuke. When Sunade teaches her she teaches her to control her chakra even more through medical ninjutsu and then teaches her to use her chakra for strength making her good at taijutsu as well. It’s true most of us agree that Sakura was useless and sometimes still can be definitely don’t like her treatment towards Naruto but her progress is definitely there. Btw at the end I’m not sure if she was poisoned fr or not but she lured Sasori’s puppet in so she can smash it and fight more easily or close kombat.

Then, someone made an edit of the entire fight with a Kelly Clarkson song and posted it on youtube and it was my favorite video of all time. I had watch it every day. The only reason these two have a shot against sasori is because granny is a puppet master. She knows how to counter sasori because she taught him. Most people would get destroyed easily. Sakura is pretty strong at this point in the story. If you take a punch from her you're getting KO'd and its also very effective against the iron sand because the magnetism only works against weapons.

Sakura most definitely has not been training with Tsunade as much as Naruto has with Jiraiya. Jiraiya’s sole purpose those two years was to train Naruto (whether he did a good job or not is debatable). Tsunade had an entire village to run during a chaotic time. Training Sakura definitely was a side gig.

I think you're underestimating Chiyo's experience, not Sakura's. If it were Sakura alone, she'd have been killed in the 1st minute. But Chiyo is a former counselor, accomplished many Ws in previous wars, and survived. It was mentioned in previous episodes that she has more battle experience than Sasori, and it was her the one fighting using Sakura's body. PS: Hope you get better

These fights are based a lot on skillsets, some of them are stronger than others depending on the enemy, sasori vs gaara, gaara would probably win because the sand would be strong against the puppets, but an enemy that attacks from a distance with agility can neutralize the sand, like Deidara and Rock Lee (classic). Sakura and Chiyo together have a relatively good skillset against Sasori, but against Deidara they would probably lose, you will notice this in the fights against the Akatsuki members.

If Rock Lee was in this fight, Ron would be all for it, but he has a problem with Sakura holding her own. There was a time skip. Every character has trained during that time skip. Just because Sakura is holding her own, doesn't make Sasori weak. The flashbacks show how she has the ability to be able to read Sasori's attacks and dodge them. The fight isn't even over yet, so why assume how it will end? What is really the problem here?

Sasori is objectively much stronger than both Granny Chiyo and Sakura as we can tell. I mean bro took down the 3rd Kazekage, putting him at Kage level or above. 1v1 they would get slaughtered but their coordination makes them a good matchup for him, esp with granny chiyo’s knowledge about his arsenal and Sakuras raw power. I mean I consider Kakashi and Naruto stronger than Chiyo and Sakura but if they were to fight Sasori instead, they would get bodied. All about matchups.

So Sakura has been training with Tsunade just as much, if not more, than Naruto has been training with Jariya during the time skip. Remember how Tsunade fought Orochimaru… it was mostly punches and kicks but she kept up with a “nerfed” Orochimaru. Her style just isn’t flashy but effective. Now Sakura is the same way. Nothing fancy but if she lands a blow the fight could be over.

Words matter so use appropriate words. That being said, Sakura made really good plays in this fight. Would Sasori beat her 1v1? Obviously. It was a joint effort, and Sakura absolutely contributed big time. And she is only 16.

I also think the only reason why many consider Sakura to be "weak" or "not strong enough" in Shippuden is because her character development and skill development didn't happen at the same time as Naruto's and Sasuke's development. I feel like Ron is being too harsh on Sakura lol , this is her first real fight in shippuden. This fight is the only way we can see her development over the past 3 years, you gotta keep in mind that as far as you guys know, she doesn’t have a beast inside her like naruto or the sharingan like sasuke. Just stay tuned and she’ll continue to surprise you just like naruto and sasuke!

Ron Lady chiyo said herself that Sakura is strong, and that she was able to deduce Sasori's patterns and movements on her own, it's been 2 and a half years and she's been training with the current HOKAGE. SO of course she's going to be stronger. She has grown, but that doesn't mean the akatsuki is weak, our characters are just stronger. Sakura has always had good chakra control, and analytical skills developed with training with Tsunade. Let her have her moment!! The fandom hates on her enough :( But you have to remember, she's not from a special clan she doesn't have a demon fox inside her, Kishimoto Wrote her as an "ordinary" girl, That alone makes her character growth impressive!
