pretty good episode, and yeah i can tell the differences between this and the anime, but is so great that the plot is very the same, still not convinced on koby´s actor but kinda liking more and more, and man!! emily is so beautiful!!!

The thing is, one piece is a shonen yes but its also a really good comedy Show cutting that is like cutting out the titans in AoT. Also they changed and Cut out many really good scenes. Still one of the or maybe the best Live-Action until now. Also the length and depth is a really big Part of the appeal of one piece, thats also one of the negative Points for me in the Live-Action.

And it's also why Luffy couldn't break himself out of the glass box: the seawater weakens him. If it was just regular or an empty box, then breaking out wouldn't be a problem. But seawater doesn't just take away Devil Fruit powers, it actively weakens the users. A Devil Fruit user in seawater would have trouble fighting their way out of a paper bag.

The Live action basic explanation of the Devil Fruits is not clear. If you ate a Devil fruit, the devil fruit user CANNOT SWIM and the sea water drains your power/energy. Therefore, Luffy could not swim and was drowning. Shanks could swim and saved Luffy because he did not eat any Devil fruit. And the snails are just their way of communication in the world of One Piece~

@SomeoneElse It is okay to say its your favorite manga of all time...it is very long and old and never ending. I am sure its numbers are high...but to each their own. no need to throw numbers around that don't mean anything...if something last for 20 years vs 10 years it reaches twice as many audience, simple math and simple statistics...just like what you like, and leave it at that... but putting it in the atmosphere of Shakespeare is silly, he was a playwriter... the stories only lasted a few hours... and still extremely popular now do the math.... Like i said Detective Conan...TERRIBLE and its still #3 manga....seriously?? Time = more audience and time means everything when it comes to those numbers...

not even close to how good the original is but i think if it helps u get intressted in the real thing it is ok they just pressted 60 ep in 8 so yeah like 70% is not there and also they give u info u get at ep 300 in the anime so i dont know why they didi it thatway but i asume so that they can skipp a lot again i hope u get to the anime some day and witnes the real awesomenes and adventure that is called one piece have fun

Just that you don't put everything powerfull on the Devil Fruits. They are pretty rare and most people don't think they exist in the first place. News in this world you can only get via newspaper, traders and tavern talk. If the show doesn't say someone has a Devil Fruit, just assume they don't have eaten one. There are more powers in this world.

Watching this is a good call, the anime as good as it maybe, is dragged on too long for comedic reasons, to show more of characters personalities etc. This however is like cutting all the blubber and getting straight to the point.

200 Episodes is like the one guy in the comment said it already ... you are at the skypia arc which is imo the weakest arc of one piece and its just boring ... but the water 7 arc will make your mind blow bc after that you see how the world in one piece is working and its one of the best arcs in One Piece ... yeah the pacing is slow but to built a story like that, it should be going this way bc you will never see an anime where the other characters besides the main character get this attention ... i mean its not just about Luffy ... its also have Zoro Nami Sanji etc ... all characters get their moment enough and you dont find this in naruto, bleach or dedective conan ... so sad that you stoped at the weakest arc bc after that you would get one of the best arcs you could see in this show ...

Light Spoiler.... You can tell by the Bounty. 15mio is nothing compared to other bounty's we will see in the future. It was stated in the anime, the east blue is the weakest among the 4 sea's. The first half of the grandline has far stronger characters than all of the 4 sea's together and the second half of the grandline is were the strongest of the strongest pirates searching for the one piece.

And point, watching one piece I recommend watching it almost everyday or as often as possible if you react to it like you do with Naruto you might not get caught up until maybe 3-5 years from then

So my thought process about watching anime series is that you watch only 1 episode per week, and you pritty much give your opinions on anime and adaptation, however it would be patrion exclusive. And with that i believe it would be very tempting for someone from youtube to come here at patrion. Because honestly in a year it wouldnt be the same. Like you would definately forget some things. So it would be really cool to see you compare the two until you are fresh watching😁

If you’re still thinking of watching the anime the you can start by just reacting to short ( non spoiler ) videos like “Amazing world of one piece” and “one piece the greatest story ever told” one YouTube Those are great one piece videos to get you hyped up. Plus 1000 eps might be long but it’s highly worth it. I personally don’t feel like I’m getting enough episodes

The One Piece is confirmed by the writer to not be "the friends you made along the way" or anything like that lol. Some big characters have said when someone finds it, the world will be turned upside down. I say no more

One Piece is one of the deepest and most emotionally rich stories I've ever read/watched, but I kind of agree that they won't (or at least Ron won't) enjoy the anime much. It's a story that gets better arc after arc as they build on each other. The exponential return gets so good after a while, there's nothing else like it, but the start of the adventure (especially in the anime) is old. It shows it's age for sure. The only way they'll really like it is if they go into it knowing and accepting that. There's a reason for why One Piece is the most popular manga in the world. For why even during other big series' biggest arcs it stayed on top. For why the writer is among the top 10 biggest fiction writers in history, 9 places behind Shakespear. The reasons for this are not discovered in the first 30 episodes. The show is fun and endearing early on, but it doesn't become ONE PIECE until quite a bit in, where the arcs have been able to really build the world and its history

You don’t like it and that’s ok but One Piece is my favorite anime and it’s extremely popular for a reason. Things “happen” all the time and I’ve enjoyed every bit of it (except maybe one arc) so maybe they’ll love it and maybe they won’t we’ll just have to see when they watch.

The Live Action should’ve done a better job with that Shanks moment against the sea beast in my opinion because in the Anime, Shanks swam to save Luffy and Devil Fruit users can’t swim since the sea water takes away their strength and energy. So nah, Shanks didn’t eat one

For me personally One Piece has some of the most emotional highs of any Shonen anime. But I do have to agree, it is so slowly paced, its almost like a 1:1 manga chapter / episode ratio, and a lot of it is stuff is just added or prolonged to stretch out the episode. Despite all that, I still love the overall story. Me personally I switched over to the manga because of the bad pacing, and I find myself watching episodes and just skipping through a lot, except the parts I know are gonna be great. But these latest episodes in the anime have seriously been nothing short of amazing and have definitely been worth watching.

I am not a fan of One Piece at all...and I have watched about 200 episodes plus...I have not started watching the Live Action with you guys yet...but maybe I will watch the live action... I do not think you guys will like the anime, but I could be wrong...Ron likes stuff to "happen" and I have NEVER seen such a slow pace action Shonen in my life. It has the same pacing as Detective Conan...
