I was thinking Echidna has a higher chance too, but from the info it’s given, Emilia has the same colour’s hair as her father, it’s silver, Echidna kinda has the same light colour as white hair, I would think her mother must have some hair colour is more contrast. About what you saying at the last, I think the anime did a poor job at ep24-25 compared to the novels, they tried to tell audiences that the echidna Subaru and Emilia see is different from the one Beatrice and roswaal see, if you look carefully, they are slightly different, the one it show at the end is actually older than the one we see in earlier episodes.

My own guess for that scene was Garfiel being this werebeast type was the reason when their blood mixed that made Elsa lose her regeneration abilities and she was schocked about it. Another is she let herself die when she realized she might be able to die. There is no reason why she couldn't have managed to dodge that attack.

I agree at the point we are with only anime info, Minerva is the 1st guess. But I still have Echidna running 2nd, there is still many things left unanswered. Like in this episode why didn't Emilia recognize Echidna in that coffin she breaks and the face is again blurred out from viewers and it was the same when we watched Beatrice&Roswall flashback, Echidna alive face was always hidden from us. So my guess is still that face we are shown in the dream world isn't her actual face.

Growing up, a farmer in a town nearby was killed because he dropped his cigarette while working near his grain bins and the whole thing went up. That's what Subaru was trying to do to the mabeast. Twilight also uses it as a threat in episode 1 of Spy x Family to keep the criminals from shooting when he's rescuing Anya from being kidnapped.

Me being a huge Re:Zero fan, I never thought about it that way. That is interesting to think about tho, the curse going away after the biting, perhaps certain conditions had to have been met. Spoiler warning: Maybe that’s why further into the story like in Arc 5 and Arc 7, and Arc 8, garfiel was so hard to kill and survived so much damage, because he may have Elsa’s ability alongside his divine protection which makes him super strong

im glad yall like this show. i quit this show the first time after he screwed up fighting with emilia didnt reset(s1e13... ish). and never figured out a painless way to reset. but i was pressured into picking it up again and overall id say its stuck as one of my favorite shows, lots of depth and they dont hold your hand through it. though i dont like how subaru handles some things, i think this anime handles emotional trama unlike anything else out there and makes it feel real.

My honest opinion is that Emilia is not a daughter of anyone, but kinda like beatrice created by the witch as in cloning herself in case something like her dead would happen. But the sister of the witch would give her a normal childhood and that 's why she try to hide her for so long.

I don't see that anyone said anything about it, but regarding the Garfiel/Elsa fight. Elsa never expected to die because she's "immortal". But Garfiel mentions how he's read a book talking about a dead witch that was also a vampire. Implying that vampire's can die, it's just not known how. In the scene after they are biting each other, Elsa touches her neck and you can still see the wound from Garfiel's bite. She then looks at Garfiel's neck and her bite on him healed and was no longer there. Think that's the moment she realized she was going to die, and so she went into a memory/flashback. I'm anime only but my guess is that vampirism in this world is less of a species and more like a curse that's transferable from one person to another.

I'm right on board with this. But I believe minerva is a higher % chance. And echidna is like 0% chance to me. I also think the chance of satella being her mother is super low. I personally think satella is emilia. But somehow able to time travel in some way?

Just based on the information we have in re:zero anime, I got some guess. Who can possibly be Emilia’s mom Minerva 60% possibility (Witch of wrath, the Bronde you saw in this episode) 1) Fortuna said that Emilia gets her kind features from her mother, and Emilia's eye shape is basically identical to Minerva's. 2)When Fortuna dying, she says that "my sister-in-law will be very angry... she'll never forgive me". Out of all of the Witches, this works with Minerva's personality the best. 3) Emilia is a half elf, her father is a full elf, Minerva is human, that can be the case. 4) In the Third Trial's Tea Party, Minerva clearly has some connection to Emilia: she doesn't allow Emilia to see her face, she is very emotional, she denies that she's crying and says that she doesn't have the right to cry in front of Emilia. She even hugs Emilia to her chest to prevent her from seeing Emilia's face. Does that mean Emilia would recognise her? There are so much more… Satella 1% possibility 1) they are both half elf 2)Fortuna said Emilia’s silver hair come from her father. 3)that can’t be mother and daughter loving the same guy right? lol Echidna 19% possibility 1) Just based on the weird emotion echidna had when the 2nd trial end. 2) Minerva is so happy when Emilia said she want to have tea party with echidna next time. Minerva responded in tears. Other characters not yet introduce 20% 1) emm.. you know, the author like to play with audiences like this.

That's what I love about this show so much, is so unpredictable and you always want to know what's next in the story. I remember when it was releasing weekly, it was torture waiting for the next episode, I was in agony to know what was going to happen next
