I like how Emilia’s backstory shows that her and Subaru are more alike than the story lets on, at least in the sense that there are things from their pasts that they have a hard time letting go of. Subaru trying to get over his old life of incompetence and letting the world pass him by, and Emilia coming to terms with the fact that there are people in her past she can’t save. This story is always discretely telling the audience that you are not your failures, and you always have a right to life and happiness. Throughout the show there has always been a life affirming message, and that’s what I love about it

One of those, Vanity, was merged into Pride but before then was known as Vainglory, the belief that you are God or its equivalent. Kind of a greater Pride. Deceit was another and also Melancholy also known as despair.

So during these events of emilia freezing the forest, this all happened 300 years after satella is sealed. According to the history books in re: zero, the witch of envy devoured and killed the other witches of sin. She was on a rampage until she was sealed away. However, it seems whoever writes the history books in that world did not realize that there's more than 7 sins, because Pandora was still alive in emilia's flash back 300 years after all the other witches died. Most people believe pandora will be the final boss of the series

2023-08-25 03:19:16 +0000 UTCIf you go back to episode 15 of season 1 after Betelgeuse kills rem he says “with my arms, with my hand, you killed her” and he starts crying because he was talking about this moment and thinking about fortuna some of the best foreshadowing I’ve seen and it made me love the series that much more
