Just want to point out that Killua and Gon traveled to Wing's place, learned Nen and Ten, came back to the Arena all within 2 hours. They had almost an extra hour and a half to spare before registering for their fights XD

Nen uses your aura for offense Ten uses your order for defense ZETSU allows you to nullify your aura so your not detected Hatsu gives your nen and aura like special abilities which I think has five classes but you’ll learn about that later.

Zetsu: Turning off Nen in order to not be detected Hatsu: Giving Nen an application, which is what you will mostly see people do. all 4 of these fall under Nen. Nen is just the name or the Aura. then there are 6 categories (types) of nen. Although these are important, you dont need to memorize them, but basically some people are better than others at certain uses of nen. For example, one person might be better at enhancing an egg (making it hard) whereas another person’s Nen lets them change the flavor of the egg. It will make more sense the more you watch and its a really cool and unique system.

It also does that anime thing where anytime something happens with nen a character will lay it all out with his inner monologue mid fight lol so honestly I just roll with it and don’t try to get too tripped up. As the show progresses we learn more and it clears up naturally

They hinted this to be the reason why one of them has no legs, the other is on a wheel-chair, and the last one is missing an arm.

2023-08-05 03:22:57 +0000 UTCso without going way too deep on Nen, though if you want to watch weebcommander on YouTube for a full dive it's great, Nen is basically life energy(like chakra) and it has 4 main ways it can be used. Strengthening or flexing your life force can make you stronger more defensible or intimidating, then there is hiding your life force which makes you harder to detect but vulnerable to attack. then there is channeling where you pool your life energy into specific places like your eyes, fists, feet. think neji eyes or running up trees. finally there is a release where you use your nen to do something unique. that uniqueness is determined by your nens nature and your imagination to some degree. think fire style water style shadow style, or the difference between taijutsu and ninnjutsu. the nature's and how skills are made is where it really gets complex
