Beatrice is worst girl confirmed. She doesn't even make sense. First he stopped Subaru from killing himself. Then she didn't stop Elsa from killing him the next moment. Not consistent at all.

I believe you were thinking of the sin archbishop. Like bearelguese was. All of the witches are dead as confirmed by echidna. But obviously it appears some people gained sin powers based on the witch sins. (All ill say for now) Fun concept to keep track of in re zero now. It appears the more subaru dies. The more he smells of the witch. And those that can smell his scent react differently based on that scent. This is why subaru was commenting that garfiel doesn't fall into habits. Because he is acting differently every time line. Next episodes are crazy. 🐇

So from this I'm assuming Otto heard all of the information second-hand from the animals and insects that spied for him, which is also how he found Subaru when no one else could.

When he said “last time” or “everything will be set in stone” it didn’t really directly reference something that happened in a previous life or his actually return by death ability. He did this in the previous season too when he jokingly said to Beatrice “you aren’t the one that’s going to kill me are you?”. So he can be EXTREMELY vague about it Also yeah, the reason Subaru was laughing is because he genuinely doesn’t know who to trust. The concept of someone helping him (aside from Emilia, Rem, and Ram) just doesn’t seem possible to him. The fact that someone was helping him just as an act of friendship is so basic but he just didn’t think it was possible so he laughed about it.

When Subaru was tied up in an isolated room for 3 days, they barely showed what was happening outside (except for Garfiel bribing Otto) just like how Subaru wouldn't know anything that's happened too.
