Japanese take their hierarchy structure between age and status/position very seriously and it's very important to show respect to those who are older, senior and higher status/position. This apply to workplaces, school, social and family. Kageyama's tone to Noya would be considered rude in Japanese culture since Noya is Kageyama's senior.

You remember those 2nd year guys! Remember Narita subbed in during the Shiratorizawa match while Suga was setting because they're comfortable with each others spike/set respectively? Narita got some great spikes on Shiratorizawa and some good receives. Kinoshita is the 2nd year Jump Floater specialist. Ennoshita, Narita, and Kinoshita were the first years who ditched when Grandpa Ukai was doing a short summer coaching stint after retirement. Now they're the second years, and all the second years, Noya and Tanaka included, agree that Ennoshita should be the next captain after Daichi.

I think they were shocked cuz they thought kageyama meant that as in noya isn’t taking this seriously or is in the way of them winning(like he’s throwing) since he doesn’t do rolling thunder during matches. Remember kageyama came back from all Japan with insane players and even those coaches told them to calm down when they went back to their teams cuz for a week they got used to how good everyone is that going back to their teams will feel like an easy environment . There’s a lot to unpack in this game and the pressure kageyama is feeling from date tech is obviously affecting him too
