2023-06-09 02:23:11 +0000 UTCwe don't know what is this 'mark' showed up in face of tanjiro and muichiro, but by the fact that when mark came up tanjiro become able to slay gyutaro's neck and muichiro mentioned after mark showed up he feeling strangely good condition, and upper demon said this mark is similar to demon's mark, i think when mark has shown, that human maybe able to get demonic power. doesn't know what is need to have the mark but tengen and rengoku didn't show the mark.

I think this was a showcase of Muichiros power having his memories back, awakened his mark, and being a decendant of yorichi. So far hes the stongest we have seen and Gyokko underestimated him because he was a kid, he was too cocky and was dealt with quick!!!!!!

Mitsuri showing up and telling Tanjiro ‘leave the rest to me’ was so reminiscent of what Giyu said when he showed up in season 1. Great response!

Michelle kept repeating “2 months” but he has trained for more than those initial few months. Just so you dont think he is this strong with only 2 months of training. He was 11 when his brother died and is 14 at this point.

In the manga, it is further explained that the father made the remaining siblings fight each other to death while being blindfolded so they dont know who they are fighting. Only 2 siblings including Tengen survived.

2023-06-05 15:56:26 +0000 UTCThere a lot comments explaining the same thing so I thought I would add this since the anime skipped this part in the manga that explained how muichiro’s mist breathing 7th form works and that is the reason gyokko got defeated "Tokitou drastically changes the tempo of his movements to disorient his enemy. When he shows himself, he's as slow as a turtle. But when he hides, he moves in the blink of an eye. His fastest speed (with mark) exceeds that of Upper Moon Five Gyokko's. A wounded Muichiro had just managed to defeat an Upper Moon. Gyokko is right. This is a really unnatural situation". Btw there might some things that aren't showed/explained in the anime since the DS manga has a narrator that explains some things that the charactes don't say 😁👍

2023-06-05 14:18:58 +0000 UTCPretty much all demon slayers came to the demon slayer corps because they lost someone important to demons (like Tanjiro, Muichiro, Genya and his brother). But there are definitely some who also become demon slayers because of their family (like Rengoku) Just at the end of the video it kinda sounded like you guys would believe that all you have to do is suffer a very bad loss and then you become a Hashira straight away, so I want to reiterate that any demon slayer can, theoretically become a Hashira, not only those with special abilities. In order to become a Hashira, you just have to train a lot and, above all, have killed a lot of strong demons. (and you need a breathing technique, of course) It was sort of explained in the first season. Also, Tengen used to be a shinobi and became a Demon Slayer after losing his entire family (I don't think it was ever explained exactly how he lost his family, and if it was, I don't remember it unfortunately). He joined the demon slayer corps because the leader of the demon slayers gave him a new life purpose. But the point is, Tengen became a Demon Slayer, not a Hashira straight away, just like Muichiro was a regular Demon Slayer before working his way up to be a Hashira (within two months!). I think that's something that a lot of people misunderstand. Muichiro became a Hashira in two months, not a Demon Slayer (so he managed to become a Hashira after two months as a normal Demon Slayer) This is also why Tengen has so much respect for Muichiro as well, because he's so talented By the way, Rengoku's mother died from an illness and not from a demon

To put it into perspective, After Tanjiro gained access to the mark, he went from struggling to cut Gyutaro's neck to slicing clean through - he was just a low ranked Demon Slayer at the time. So imagine a Hashira unlocking the Mark. It increases your speed and strength exponentially. Muichiro is a prodigy as mentioned several times, but the reason he killed Gyokko so easily was thanks to the Mark Tengen left his shinobi life because it was too cruel for him. The anime said that his siblings had all died except his brother, but in the manga it's further explained that his father had them unknowingly fight and kill each other because he only wanted the strongest offspring. Once Tengen learned of his, he left his clan

I'm not surprised that he defeated the upper 5 with the marks on his face, the same marks that made tanjiro able to cut Gyutaros head.

He got out and ran into the master and basically found something worth while to do and ig fight for. 2023-06-05 04:25:28 +0000 UTCMuichiro soloed upper 5 because of unlocking the demon slayer mark just as how tanjiro was able to overpower the 4 other emotion demons after he also unlocked his demon slayer mark but also note how they struggled without the mark. That’s how much boost the mark gives to a demon slayer, if tengen unlocked the mark when fighting gyutaro he would’ve easily won the fight too. But even so muichiro has a lot of potential to become the most powerful in the future but for now gyomei and sanemi ( the 2 most powerful hashiras )are still leagues above him. You can also note the similarities between sanemi and muichiro they both managed to kill a demon at 11 years old without a nichirin sword or any demon slayer experience
