A bit late, but while watching through all of the previous stuff, one thing that really annoys me is how the english translations of the episode names almost always are off from the japanese versions. In some cases, it's really small and in others it's a completely different title. While it doesn't affect the story at all, it annoys me a lot more than it should. Regardless, good reactions :-)

None of the fillers are important. Not Itachi's childhood backstory, the creation of the Akatsuki, Kakashi back story or even Minato backstory. If it's voted to skip 1 filler they should skip ALL fillers. "But it became canon after blah blah blah" skip all fillers or watch all fillers. No cherry picking.

I dont think Itachi ever claimed he killed everyone, but it was obvious as he was the last remaining member (minus sasuke) and people knew he was strong enough to do such a thing. Also, sasuke was a witness

As of now, like Ron said, Itachi was present at the scene where his whole clan died and Sasuke is the only witness and Itachi claimed he killed everyone and asked Sasuke to hate him. Deduce all you want as the answer will be revealed in later episodes. Also, Ron and Michelle can read into it all they want but I feel that there is nothing wrong with telling them that Itachi is many people's favorite character. There are people who like good, bad, gray, strong etc characters. It does not mean a favorite character has to be good. To explain the scene at 14:30 from the episode itself, the inside of Stone Toad's intestine which Jiraiya summoned, you saw black flames at the exit from where Itachi escaped. Jiraiya also said that the Stone Toad who has the ability to blow fire had it's intestine burned and told Naruto not to go close to the black flames and sealed it into the scroll. Itachi said he was forced to use Tsukuyomi and Amaterasu against Jiraiya. Great episode by the way! Love the reactions! Can't wait for you to learn more about Tsunade!

So you guys' theories are interesting, but Itachi killed his parents and the clan. That is just a fact, you're not really supposed to be questioning IF he did or not. He has said from his own mouth that he killed them. I mean you could say he's lying, but as this point it's just a fact that he killed them. You can question why he did it, but he definitely 100% killed them and that's not a spoiler. His Tsukuyomi ability is exclusive to the Mangekyo Sharingan so only Uchihas who have the Mangekyo Sharingan can use it. It doesn't tap into your worst fears, Itachi can create whatever scenario he wants and force you relive it for days if he wants. He controls time and space within his Tsukuyomi world.

Reading too much into peoples choice of favorite characters can definitely hurt the viewing experience. It’s better to enjoy it as you learn rather than trying to guess off of reasons you weren’t given in the anime. However naruto is very good at writing villains which is why some people like the villains more than the protagonists.

To make some things clear: 1) Itachi was really the one who killed his entire family. And Sasuke was the only witness. 2) To explain Itachi's ability in more detail: his ability "Tsukuyomi", also called Nightmare Realm, is a special and powerful Genjutsu (visual jutsu) that can only be activated with a Mangekyou Sharingan. The Mangekyou Sharingan is a kind of extension of the normal Sharingan (you can find out exactly how you get the Mangekyou in Naruto Shippuden). So, this means that anyone of the Uchiha Clan (and Kakashi, because he as a Sharingan) who awakened the Mangekyou Sharingan could theoretically use this Genjutsu. Also, "Amaterasu" meant the black flames Itachi used to escape from Jiraiya's jutsu (you'll learn more about that in Shippuden too). 3) Summoning animals is a jutsu that every ninja can learn (these specific animals are called familiar spirits, by the way). All it takes to summon an familiar spirit is a certain amount of Chakra and (most importantly!) a contract with that particular spirit. The scroll on which Naruto wrote his name with his own blood was this contract (with Gamabunta, the toad king). In most cases, a ninja contracts with the familiar spirit that their Sensei has a contract with (as in Naruto's case). But there are also cases where a ninja accidentally meets a familiar spirit, spends time with him, and then forms a contract. Because familiar spirits exist in exactly the same world as the ninjas, and not in a different dimension as Ron suspected. The places where the spirits live are just very well hidden to be safe from possible attacks. I hope I could help you to understand Itachi's abilities and the summoning jutsu a little bit better 😂😂

The genjutsu called Tsukuyomi its Itachi exclusive, because its his kekkei genkai ability, other ninjas can do genjutsus but not of this level, btw Itachi mentions when he did it to Kakashi that he can control time and space in the tsukuyomi world, so he doesn't necessarily shows you your worst nightmare, he can show you whatever he wants for as much time he wants

Summoning Justus is a contract You have to have a scroll with the contract deal in seal it in your own blood then you can summon such animals. So to get a good summoning honestly you just have to find a really good scroll with a good contract.
