The otakus would rather see them struggle with subs instead of them actually enjoying the show the same way most of us did through toonami. The amount of shows they watch plays a part as well as it’s difficult to keep track of all the different characters and worlds. The comments and social media play a part as well where they’re spoiled to expect something from Itachi instead of taking his introduction as a villain at face value which is what the show intended to do back then, but now they feel like they have to like him or are questioning what he did without any real reason provided by the show.

Of course that type of thing would be confusing. But they have to deal with putting in the "reaction" part of the reaction content as well as there being 2 people with sometimes differing viewpoints/perceptions.

Well look at 25:08 -- Itachi waves Sasuke to come over to him, but Ron for some reason feels the need to mimic him ("reacting"?), but actually waves him AWAY. So his understanding is actually completely opposite of what is being shown. So, consider the added "stress" of "reacting" and them talking over the show to each other with possibly contradictory viewpoints. It's probably a bit difficult and results in a few cases of "missing things or just misunderstanding."

Early Naruto power scaling was difficult to call, because ninjas were much closer in power with each other, later on power scaling goes off the charts and statements like Itachi saying that he would struggle to get a stalemate even with Kisame helping OR others helping would not change the result, were complete bull as we see later in the series

I don't know if that's accurate, Orochimaru gets beat by Itachi because of his unique abilities. Jiraiya has a potential counter for this ability although it's been debated to death who would win. In the end I think the consensus is usually that it'd be too close to call.

In Sasuke's flashback, when he heard something, it was his parents being killed and their bodies falling to the floor. I know Ron wants so bad Itachi to be not that evil. Bro, he's just extremely calm and smart. Even when Kisame asked to cut Naruto's leg, Itachi remained silent, being in agreement with that.

I think Jiraiya is a bad match for Itachi, due to his overwhelming amount of chakra and use of summonings. Due to Jiraiya's powers, he would be able to deal with any genjutsu. Also, he blocked Kisame's sword with a frog, not directly, so he knows Kisame's skills and wouldn't fight him in close combat, where Kisame excels. Itachi at this moment have already used the Mangekyou Sharingan and fought other jonins, so he is in a disadvantageous position with less chakra.

The power scaling doesn’t make too much sense in early Naruto. Itachi would body orochimaru who is relative to Jiraiya in strength as a sannin. Both Kisame and Itachi together is just complete overkill for Jiraiya.

The reason why Itachi and Kisame didn't kill Naruto right there and then (even tho it'll be hella easy) is because they're trying to capture him. When they met Naruto, Itachi said "Naruto, you will come with us" and Kisame also said "It'll be a pain in the neck if this kid moves around... Maybe I better chop off a leg just in case..." I truly felt bad for Sasuke knowing he realized all of his training up until now amounted to nothing when he finally faced Itachi. The backstory is so sad and truly made me understand Sasuke better. Got to love Jiraiya’s entrance.

I don't know if that's accurate, Orochimaru gets beat by Itachi because of his unique abilities. Jiraiya has a potential counter for this ability although it's been debated to death who would win. In the end I think the consensus is usually that it'd be too close to call.
