You said "Deku changed" multiple times which isn't true at all. He's exactly the Sane. Bakugo and the Vestiges both said it. Minority never thinks about his own well being and hasn't since Season 1, which is why he's brutalized his body to fight. As the Vestiges said, it's just that now with all of the new Quirks, he has the ability to be a one-man army like he didn't before. And what you said about Dekus eyes confused me, that he looked like he doesn't care about anything. His eyes were droopy because he was exhausted since he hadn't slept in days. The entire reason he's exhausted is because he cares too much.
