He won't let anyone talk down about anybody else, especially if he's seen their efforts. A good guy behind his seemingly taciturn attitude. :) And just for the knowledge, senpai is an upperclassman (or colleague of higher ranking) and kouhai is a underclassman (or colleague of lower ranking). It's used in the workplace and school mostly. :)
