2023-04-19 20:54:49 +0000 UTCShigaraki has a more destructive version of his previous quirk but from what they showed here it's implied the activation conditions for the quirk itself are still the same other than the 5 point activation. The activation conditions were the same as Uraraka's quirk. It was a five point activation quirk activated when all 5 fingers touched something. Now he can activate it even with the finger covers on whenever he wants. So, he still activates it from his hands, but instead of 5 point contact for activation he's essentially turning it on and off with All for One as the control for the activaton instead. At least, that's how I understood it. Someone can correct me if that's wrong.

2023-04-15 09:10:00 +0000 UTCshigaraki does need to use his hands for his quirk! it used to be all five fingers, but i think since his fight with re-destro, he no longer needs to use all five (in fact i think he lost a couple fingers in that fight). watching shigaraki basically melt a city like that is just as horrifying every time ;-;

The machine he broke was the one holding the Quirk Destroying bullets that Shigaraki opened at the the end of the episode. The cable that shocked Shigaraki was already on the ground from earlier. And if you look, X-Less was facing the other direction from it.
