Checking In

The Friday before July 4th, I was looking forward to having a 4-day weekend, though I wasn't sure that that would be the case. If I DID have 2 extra days, I was going to use them to work on the next comic page. That Saturday, I needed to relax from another stressful week, but did some thumbnail sketching. Sunday, all I did was shoot some photo reference. I was too anxious about whether or not I would have Monday off. On Monday, I did indeed need to work, so my drawing plans were officially shot.
Whether due to that disappointment or other factors, I haven't had an image form in my head since. It's like the drawing part of my brain learned its lesson, and has gone into hibernation until this contract is finished.
In the meantime, I'm entertaining myself with even more hypothetical side-projects. I've been watching peoples' old home movies of Disneyland on Youtube, and have been thinking about trying to recreate the 1955 and 1968 versions of Tomorrowland in VR. The 1955 version may not be too difficult, because there wasn't much there, and what was there was pretty basic. If nothing else, it's one more thing that's easy to think about working on, when I don't have time to do so.
