Velma analysis & critique
Added 2023-05-21 16:15:59 +0000 UTCYup. THAT show that everyone dogpiled on, and said was the worst thing ever... I watched it each week (no subscription), at first to see if it was as bad as people were saying. They've been wrong and biased before, so maybe the show would actually be okay?
It wasn't.
I've seen my share of terrible things, even enjoyed some of them sincerely, but Velma left me baffled and otherwise at a loss. Words can't fully convey just how bad the show is... it kind of has to be seen to be believed, though I don't recommend that anyone put themselves through that.
Still, at some point I'd decided there were lessons that could be learned from this show, and I'd really hoped that literally anyone else talking about it would be the one to point these things out. No one did, so I started toiling away. The effort probably won't be worth it, but at least most of what I wanted to say is out of my system!
