...on my Galaxy S3 tablet, because I upgraded to a S8 Ultra. I'd been thinking about its bigger screen for a while, so the Cyber Monday deal made it even more tempting. Once I have time to refine it, I'll be able to fit the entire "boob blanket" pinup on the screen at my preferred drawing resolution, and probably still have extra space!
Moving from one tablet to another should be easy at this point, but sadly isn't. Samsung's Smart Switch app is designed specifically for this, but I had trouble installing it on the S3, because it lost all wireless capability some time ago. Once I did find and install an APK, a direct USB connection was the next option, only that also failed. Even trying to back up just my Sketchbook settings to a freshly-formatted SD card didn't work. The only thing that did work, was to copy Sketchbook's TIFF files over to the new tablet the old fashioned way, and use the app's recovery command. Now the only problem is all of my sketches are unnamed, and lumped into a single folder.
While reorganizing my sketches will take a bit of time, the brushes are a more immediate concern. I'd copied those settings over from the S3, forgetting that that isn't going to give 1:1 results. It looks like the brush size is type to the screen resolution, because the pencil strokes are roughly twice as wide compared to the old tablet.
