"What are your influences?"

...I've only recently managed to track a key one down.

For I don't know how many years, the first pair of images above lingered in the back of my mind. A distant memory from the mid-1980s, of a handful of comic pages I'd found by accident. I was around 6 years old at the time, and from prior experience I knew I'd get in trouble if I was caught with those pages, so I left them where I'd found them. As I got older, every so often I'd think back to them, and wonder what the comic strip was.

Recently, identifying the comic became an obsession. Style-wise, I was sure the comic was similar to Oh, Wicked Wanda and Sweet Chastity, illustrated by Ron Embleton for Penthouse Magazine.  I'd found online galleries for both series, but neither contained what I was looking for. Maybe I'd imagined those pages, or misremembered something else? How accurate could a memory from that long ago be?

After more digging, I'd realized that the galleries for Wanda & Chastity were vastly incomplete - less that half of Wanda's series was available, and only about a quarter of Chastity. The comic I was looking for HAD to have been from 1985 or 1986, so I took a chance and bought a collection of over a dozen Penthouses from those years. The exact issue I was looking for wasn't among them, BUT one chapter of Sweet Chastity proved that I was on the right track!

Within a few weeks, I'd finally found the chapter I'd been searching for! The joy I'd felt, after searching for it for so long... I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.

Now, my goal for this obsession/hobby is to finish the run. The artwork is too good for it to just remain in obscurity or become lost media, so I'm working to preserve it as best I can. By now I probably have about a third of the unposted pages scanned, with another third possibly arriving today. Once I have all of them, I may either make a gallery somewhere, or share a Mega link. Then I'll have to figure out what to do with the original magazines.
