Planning to plan out the planny-plan
Added 2021-11-28 23:14:17 +0000 UTCOver the past few days, I've been outlining the next several pages of the comic. I suppose I could end the current chapter where it is, but at least two pages feature character cameos that I don't think I'll be able to fit in anywhere else. None of these pages are ready to be drawn just yet, as I still need to do page layouts, and plan out the dialogue.
In the meantime, I've been thinking more about using those Haunted Mansion busts to either learn how to sculpt in Blender, or re-learn how to sculpt in Zbrush. On one hand, Blender is free and may be more comfortable or me, seeing as it's a full 3D program and I never liked Zbrush's UI. On the other hand, Zbrush is something I paid for years ago, and have gotten very little use out of in that time...
If I do get one or two of those busts sculpted, then the question will be how far I want to take them. Having five faces to rig would be a great exercise in rigging faces, and might even help me to find some new tricks, but I'll have to be careful about how much time I devote to it. I'd really rather not still be working on the current comic chapter several months from now...
