Try to contain your excitement - I spent much of today coding some updates to my limb rigging tool! Now when it creates a limb, it takes the info from the UI (left) and stores it all on the limb's root object. Another important feature - using this stored info, it can delete the rig and restore the bones to their original state. I hadn't planned on spending the day coding, though...
Since one of my big ideas for Daisy's breast rig didn't work, this morning I was going over my options. The idea I'd more or less settled on involves using a proxy mesh to drive the many sculpt-bones for the breasts. Now, how weird is it that when I tuned into Adeptus Steve's stream this evening, that at that exact moment he was showing off THAT EXACT THING? Only working, and MUCH better than what I had in mind??
Even better - at one point he gave an overview of how his rig works! AND I made sure to record it! One tiny little downside - OBS, which I used for the recording, seems to drastically reduce my computer's volume, and I have no idea why or how to fix it. So not only couldn't I hear him explain anything live, I didn't know if it pick up in the recorded file! It did, but I have to crank the volume as high as it'll go, and even then I need to be wearing headphones in a quiet room...
Going over the video may have to wait until tomorrow, though. My head is still pounding from the code work, even two hours after I'd finished. I hate coding, because once I get into it, it becomes all-consuming and draining...
