End of Month Report - April '22

Another month in the books!  It's crazy how time flies when you're keeping busy, and this month was no exception.  Being the first official month off of the Iron Pen and on the new schedule a lot of time was taken getting ready for FurSquared, and in selling again in general, and we had a great time while selling a lot of books!  I believe it was in the realm of 75 books and 3 comic anthologies, so that's pretty awesome.  This month we also made quite a bit of progress when it comes to ironing out the new Twitch schedule and in writing Fall of the Behemoth to get it closer and closer to completion by the end of the year.

So what's in store for May?  Well due to Anthrocon bumping up against June the way it does we're going to be starting the Iron Pen in the fourth week of May in order to compensate for that, but that still means three full weeks of concentrating on work in other areas!  We have three books slated for release in May:  Gods and Monsters, Getting In on the Ground Floor, and Patient Zero.  Patient Zero might be slightly delayed since the artist is working on something else for me, but we'll see.

As announced earlier Smilodon Studio is shifting focus into the game development market, which means more focus on Fall of the Behemoth and Rain and Shine.  Since Rain and Shine is turning into a bit of a magnum opus of a game it will be worked on in the background, but once I feel significant progress is made I will update it here.  Expect monthly updates of Fall of the Behemoth, as well as potentially another project that is coming up.  Just like with Rain and Shine we're running into the problem that I'm writing far faster than the artist can keep up, so that a lot of modules are ending up without art at all.  To remedy that we're actually going to be running multiple projects at once; when I get too far in one I'll update the other and such, giving my artists time to complete their work so that it can be directly integrated into the game instead of after the fact.

I'm pleased to announce that second project has already been mostly slated; while we're still ironing out the details I'll be working with Ravensflock on a game tentatively titled Escape From the Factory.  This one will be adult-oriented and focus more on rubber/bondage themes, though we're still ironing out everything.  Like Fall of the Behemoth it's going to be a more linear CYOA and feature Raven's Factory as the main setting.

Other than that there's not much else planned for May, with the June Iron Pen block already full there's no need for last calls or anything like that.  Once again I would like to thank everyone here for making what's happening above possible, without your generous donations to this patreon and elsewhere none of this would be able to happen.  Here's to an even stronger month of May and kicking off the Iron Pen with a bang!
