Question
Added 2024-11-02 05:53:38 +0000 UTCOkey guys, now I see that new characters I add to pool is already have low interest. That means we need to add characters by second time, because we already made 80 different characters from the pool and I don’t know which is more interested from new ones. What do you think? Or have any Ideas with another interaction than pool for the characters?

2024-11-15 00:09:08 +0000 UTCI agree with this. It simplifies the process. That way, you don't have to deal with a newly introduced character not being voted on over the ones that have already been there for a while.

2024-11-02 20:46:31 +0000 UTCInstead of 12 characters all the time, maybe start with 12 and remove them as they win, without adding new ones? So 12->11->10 etc. Then introduce a fresh slate of 12 new ones after all are eliminated. And/or even fewer than 12 options, like 9 or 6. It's always made me a little sad when a character I really like sits around forever, while more popular new ones overtake and win (i.e. I've been voting for Sybil for months, but Verosika has already overtaken her and will probably be drawn first).

2024-11-02 16:37:51 +0000 UTCMaybe reduce the number of choices in the polls and when a character is lost interest, take them out and rotate another in, rotating in the characters ever few polls or so, keep their votes and have be reserved for next voting, only resetting if the character wins.

2024-11-02 14:26:52 +0000 UTCMy thoughts, for what they're worth, is just lock the new character choices down until you've gotten all the ones in the pool done and then start looking for new choices. Still have a vote, but it would be a "Yes draw this character" or "No, while nice, that character doesn't 'scratch my itch' and please discard it." If a character gets 50+% "No" then remove it. The reason I'm saying this is because they're aren't THAT many anthro characters out there.

2024-11-02 11:13:10 +0000 UTCI think what people say is quite true on there are a lot of choices at one given time, I also think that if you only keep adding new characters you are eventually gonna run out of characters who have a generally big interest in them, with lesser and lesser known characters, so if it were me, I would add back in characters you done before, say like among the oldest you haven’t drawn in a while, those would spark interest, but don’t discount lesser known characters as well, they can still play a part, perhaps have two separate polls, one for well known characters, and one for lesser, that way they’d have a fairer share of votes, and lesser characters wouldn’t get snubbed for well known ones, say like Renamon. And in general it would be nice to see characters done before get a chance to be appreciated again, rather than a one and done, thats my opinion anyway, hope it helps.

2024-11-02 11:03:39 +0000 UTCMaybe a solution would be to reduce the number of participants in the poll; with so many options, the votes will be more spread out. Otherwise, keep the same number of votes but diversify the types of proposals, such as suggesting an interaction between two of the 80 characters who have already won in the past.

2024-11-02 08:56:52 +0000 UTCThat is disappointing as I have been asking for Sisu for very long and now she is finally here and may get removed. :< I think other people have a point though where not everyone votes for multiple characters and they instead vote for 1 to see someone for sure come up. I have a feeling people do not want to vote for multiple characters for reasons like that.

2024-11-02 08:31:55 +0000 UTCI get interested in a character and vote for them until they win. That can take months. I don't know if this is everyone's approach but it's how I do it. I've seen characters i would vote for afterwards get added and deleted (multiple times in the last couple of months) but I don't want to divert votes for a character I've been voting for for months to boost someone that's just been added. I'm already invested! If anything, I would ask that you not be so quick to delete new characters when we're all still waiting on characters that have been building up votes for months. If you're really wanting to narrow the pool, maybe take someone off if they're not winning in a set amount of time (6 months? A year? I'm not sure)

2024-11-02 06:53:20 +0000 UTCMaybe take the winner off the next poll? They only get a new poll after a break of one or two polls.

2024-11-02 06:14:03 +0000 UTCI would keep the current ones, maybe drop Sisu for Carrot or Wanda from One Piece. Second suggestion would be keep the vote count internally to determine unpopular characters, but reset the counts for each poll each vote. Some are so far ahead or apart we can predict almost two or three ahead.

2024-11-02 06:02:38 +0000 UTCI think you have too many in the votes, makes sense why the “new” ones aren’t being voted for. You need to narrow down your options of characters to draw
