Looking forward to season 2 reactions. I usually look at shows in their "whole package" rather than through the lens of individual seasons, but AoT S4 and Vinland S2 are my goat seasons of my goat shows.

Instead he asked Thorfinn what he would do after his death. He asked him to become a true warrior like his father. He didn’t want Thorfinn to go on another cycle of hatred. By his actions, he saved his people, Canute, Thorfinn. Literally everyone he cared about.

Thorfinn spent ages 0-6 with Thors and 6-17 with askeladd, whether he was trying to kill him or not, the fact that askeladd influenced him more is not really a question honestly.

2025-01-31 10:25:37 +0000 UTCNow you can see why everyone was hyped for this episode. For me no other character compares to Askeladd and nothing tops this episode. For season 2, the first opening is pretty abstract and is okay to watch after you finish episode 4, but if you want to be absolutely safe from even minor changes in character appearances - wait until you finish episode 7. OP2 on the other hand is full of spoilers, definitely don't watch it until you finish episode 17, or even 20 to be safe. Also, there is a special episode 18.5, it's a short less than 2 minutes clip that is not present in the anime, you need to watch it after episode 18, it can be found on youtube

That should say volumes about the quality of writing in this show...
