Large October Preview 2 , Timber Row House Beta

Okay, welcome to preview 2, lets work through the images!

End Wall

Ended up making the end wall with an optional 3 stories. Wouldn't be a very good defensive building if it can't fire on the battle platform. Can also still be shorter. Filament hinge doors work fine, they can be resin printed or stood up and FDM printed with raft/brim.

Stairs Wall

Stair wall turned out swell. Will work well for 28 range. have some 32's on one of the images. They work as well but are a little more work in some positions. You can see I have hollowed out these parts on the underside, as much as possible, without sacrificing solidity.

Half-Tower/Straight & 45

Hollowed bases again on both of these, still long prints. Redesigned the top segment otherwise everything is the same as in the first preview.

Full 45

Printing turned out great. I have added optional resin printable window covers that go on the inside and are glued. I have also made a cover design for the corner tower. Otherwise everything is unchanged.

Gatehouse Tower extension

I made an alternate top for the gatehouse towers for people who want things a little taller and more imposing. I guess the roofs can go on top instead of the battlements but there may be more overhang than you want.

Row House Beta

The idea here is to make a series of interchangeable level1,level,2, maybe level 3, and roof parts to make side-by-side timber frame urban houses for dense population. I would also be making ends and turn parts as well. It would probably be spread out over a couple months as I have other things to do. These are single family dwellings but they are meaty. 1st floor play area is 5.5x4 inches, second floor is 4.5x6.5+ inches. Not a castle , but enough for a party of 3 or 4 to explore. walls are not super tall so things stay visible without cutting walls. A lot of wall details here. Please share feedback when you get this in your hands next month! Currently I am mixing history on these. The house uses pre-12th century ground post style timber framing and dirt 1st floors so level one can work as a half-barn. However there is also some 14th century half-timber stone work and fireplaces. So these are fantasy based on reality timber frames. Probably will mix and match more as things progress.

This will be awesome!

Thanks for the request Josh. Done and done. There will be less distressed buildings for a couple reasons. 1. it is faster to make undamaged buildings 2. duplicated distress looks odd when it is repeated on the tabletop, requiring the end user to pay attention to which distressed parts get matched up within each specific field of vision. Easy solutions involve using undamaged building to put space between duplicates. Aside from a few light plaster cracks you should eventually have plenty of buildings in near-new shape to choose from!

Could I request some houses that are still in good condition. I was looking through my mmf folders and almost all of the houses were falling apart, which is cool, but wasn't what I was after in that case.
