Parallel N64 with multithreaded Angrylion released!

First out of the gates is the new Parallel N64 core with multithreaded Angrylion! This is our port of ata4's Angrylion RDP Plus plugin, but we did a lot of alterations on it which you can read about in the article. The performance gains of Angrylion RDP Plus over the regular Angrylion plugin are real and noticeable on both Linux and Windows. Out of the two, though, it's Windows that by far benefits the most.

We have enabled Multithreaded Angrylion for:

* Linux

* Windows

* Android

For quality control reasons, we have decided to postpone the release of RetroArch 1.6.8 by a few days. We hope you guys will understand that we do this in the spirit of a better experience.

it contains many tips and helpful suggestions on how you can improve the performance with this new renderer. It also links to quite a few Youtube videos that will explain how to setup a shader chain that will make native resolution N64 graphics look quite a bit better. How well this will perform is dependent on the power of your GPU though, so keep this in mind.
