This is a Sharp X-68000 emulator, a Japanese home computer from the late '80s/early '90s. This was quite a capable machine that played host to many popular games. Some of these include an arcade-perfect port of Super Street Fighter II, R-Type, Fatal Fury, Parodius, Galaga '88, a unique version of Castlevania, Namco, Capcom and Konami games were all well represented on this platform. There was also a surprisingly good amount of western games on it as well, such as Populous, Powermonger, Dungeon Master, Full Throttle, Lemmings, etc.
Also noteworthy is that Capcom used X-68000 machines internally as devkits for Capcom CPS-1/2 games.
Over the next few days, we will be unveiling more of the new cores, such as SameBoy, melonDS, OpenLara, Neko Project II, and of course, what most are waiting for, an early version of Dolphin. And maybe some more too?
