House Party 0.9.2 (Beta)

Here are the problems with this version I've found thus far. You can't load a save from the main menu. You have to start a new game then load. Patrick is fairly broken. In general, he doesn't go where he's supposed to many times. In particular, he did not go to the person holding his phone to ask for it back. I had to nudge him close to that person, and then ask again to get the right dialog to fire. Ditto for after he had to go back and ask again. Furthermore, following that, he did not hand his phone over. I had to initiate that event via the console to advance the game. When he's supposed to go by the fire to catch up with family, he doesn't. You can, however, continue the game by talking to him wherever he is. After the prank route is complete, you can't talk to either Derek or Madison. Clicking on both provides no option other than Inspect. Starts with immediately after, where you're unable to talk to Derek and get his comments on what happened. On my first attempt with this version, he tried to talk to Madison through the door, and I was able to talk to him. The most recent time, his attempt at communication didn't happen. With Vickie, where Ashley isn't mad at you, she tells you to give her something she'll like. If you do that, Ashley erroneously responds with the dialog for when she is angry with you, and you cannot advance with Vickie (no option to apologize, no route to second gift). My first time through with this version, I did not run into the previous issue, but did encounter the problem that there was no path to an unobstructed liquor cabinet. Since the second gift to Ashley cannot be reached, the revelation about Frank and Derek doesn't happen. Not new to this version is the fact that Amy leaves Ashley's room in the state of dress you left her, when either she's shooed out, or you nudge her out and towards the stairs. You can also engage her in particular activities anywhere, in front of anyone. While this is amusing, it's probably not in keeping with her character. When Ashley is in her room au natural, awaiting the player's choice concerning Humiliate Ashley or Change of Heart, she will leave to talk to the player if you complete Breast Diversion in the meantime. Not unique to this version, during the prank, Vickie's position is often not correct - she often stands towards the back, facing the back of the closet, rather than right in front of the open door, facing outwards, that one would expect given what she's doing.

I figured it out once. Without the pot. Somehow. But I'm not 100% sure what I did and have been unable to repeat it.I think maybe it's starting the military precision quest and then derailing it somehow? Oh! You also need to get Ashley drunk so she fights Madison... Maybe it's a timing issue. Even doing all the right things but in the wrong order fails?
