PMAtreon Update

good afternoooon, first off day since starting my seasonal retail work, apologies for the radio silence! the main reasons were a mix of offline business but also some qualms I have with my situation here on patreon.

(for context, my 8/31/2024 Discord mini-rant: "just a small and admittedly sleep-deprived and cranky rant but I'm already getting over patreon. not only does it not like the content I make but I was not told I had to be a creator for a few months before upfront billing can be activated to new patrons, which I wanted from the start to prevent hit and runners. I would rudely learn this when I got the first runner, and I continue to get them now.

naturally so shortly after I join, patreon will be removing scheduled billing entirely by november and has been pushing for me to switch to subscription billing, which I already said I wasn't going to do, however I worry that this change might be preventing upfront charge, but that's a theory for now.

I'm going to give patreon one last chance and wait until around the 5th-10th of next month to see if my upfront charge kicks in, and if it doesn't, I'm heavily reconsidering platforms like subscribestar or something. I'm not doing anything rash in my state of mind in the moment so for now this is a frustrating waiting game. updates to come I guess.")

I'll give two more days as that would be the first patron's join-date back in june, however there's still no change and I'm full prepared for there to be no change, but who knows, maybe I'll be wrong! since this rant I've been investigating SS, which is promising but not perfect. patreon not liking the content I make also makes any new content of that nature sketchy to post on the platform. overall just an irritating situation behind the scenes, but we'll prevail somehowwwww.

in other news, the last two paid comms and Sept+Oct's stickers are top priority, then a tentative date of Sept 15th for the start of Gorin' Time/Goretober 2024, whether or not the promos for it are complete or not. the themes/days are already picked and ready for fresh meat :)

unfortunately, any inquired comm projects that were made during the comic hiatus will have to be pushed to late Oct-early Nov when the event concludes.
