Resolution / 解像度について

In fact, I’ve always been troubled by resolution and compression formats.

While I think higher resolution is better, I’ve been turning a blind eye to the fact that the capacity and communication volume become enormous. This is because I was blindly sticking to the ‘PNG format’.

As a guide for capacity, if a 1K image is about 1MB, then 2K is about 5MB, and 4K is about 20-25MB.

So, I’m thinking of adding posts in the JPG format for the high-quality version as a trial.

As for the capacity of the sample image, the PNG format is 17.2MB, and the JPG format is 1.75MB, which is about 1/10. Although I haven’t posted it, the 2K JPG format was 668KB.

Since it’s only one image, there might be some parts that I can’t judge, but there might be no problem at all for viewing.

I’m going to post a few experimental ones in the JPG format, and if there’s no problem, I think I’ll continue with that.

I think I will prefix the title with ‘[PNG]’ ‘[JPG]’ at that time.

実は常々、解像度や圧縮形式に悩んでいます。

高解像度の方が良いと思いながらも、容量や通信量が膨大になるのに目をつぶっていた部分があります。

というのも盲目的に「PNG形式」に拘っていた為です。

容量の目安として、1Kの画像が1MBぐらいだとすると2Kは5MB、4Kは20～25MBぐらいです。

そこで、試しに高画質版にJPG形式での投稿も追加しようかと思っています。

サンプル画像の容量なのですが、PNG形式は17.2MB、JPG形式は1.75MBと1/10ほどになります。投稿していませんが2KのJPG形式は668KBでした。

1枚だけなので判断しきれないところはあるかもしれませんが、閲覧には全く問題ないかもしれませんね。

何件か実験的にJPG形式のも投稿し、問題なければそれを続けようかと思います。
