Pausing for February

Hey folks!

This upcoming month, February 2025, I'm going to be pausing payments to Patreon once more! Like last time, I want to focus on getting through my commission batch, and then getting through the patron rewards that are stocking up. The holiday season, as well as the -very- frustrating sickness that hit me immediately after, have left me a bit backed up work-wise, so I want to buy myself a little extra time to get things done without additional things coming in. So, as before, no tokens will be allocated, but I'll still post artwork as I finish it.

Another big part of this pause, though, is that I continue to say that I want to start up new personal projects like art packs and merch, but I never actually have time to do so! In order to make merch or art packs, a lot of time needs to be put in ahead of time before you can get any payout, as opposed to commissionwork where it happens at roughly the same time. For a while, I foolishly believed I would just miraculously find time to start down this road on my own, but I'm a creature of habit: its so much harder for me to force myself to work on those projects than it is to just take some commissions and start work on those. Its so easy for me to just go through the process to handle commissions that actually I have some difficulty setting aside time specifically for my own projects. So, I -need- to force my own hand, or I will never actually get this going.

Times change, expenses change, my needs change. I've admittedly been feeling it more and more over the past couple years with regards to putting more emphasis on doing the work I want and enjoy. Time marches on and I've been feeling more pressure to actually achieve the things I want to do! It's really stupid to think that by doing the same thing over and over, I'll get a new result. I'm hoping that by buying some time here, I can actually make some larger needed changes to my income to allow me some flexibility. It's possible I might also take the following month off to secure a little more time on a project, and its also possible there might be some bigger changes to this Patreon to follow. Not everyone will be entirely pleased with it, but it's gotta happen. I'll have further details on that in the future.

As before, I'm not in any dire straits financially. I have managed money things at least SOMEWHAT decently, so I can afford a month off of sorts!
