So keep this in mind, Goku could barely stand up when he got to King Kaiโs and now heโs faster and stronger than heโs ever been!! And all heโs been doing is eating, chasing a monkey & grasshopper in a day or two, can you imagine what he will be able to do with 70 more days there?! ๐

They cut out things like gohan almost going home and the orphans, which is decent character building, but it never impacts the overall story. I was down for the long haul with you brother but like you said, it just takes forever with og dbz. Gotta do the swap to Kai!

Imagine catching a random episode, then the next time you watch its in a different part of the story. Then one day after youโve FINALY been able to watch 30-40 or more episodes over the weekends, you finally get to the big boss battle. You realize, hey this is that same episode I started with, talking about Saiyans & such. You cant wait for the next Saturday. Then it finally comes andโฆ โฆ theyโve restarted from the introduction of Raditz AGAIN. You get pissed after all this wasted time, then Cartoon Network has a commercial the same day announcing DBZ is coming to Toonami. Which means multiple episodes per week. YAY ๐. You finally get to that episode again (๐จ spoiler ๐จ) the battle with Frieza. And it reboots AGAIN. You still watch every afternoon and late night, then when it approaches the Namek saga, Toonami announces BRAND NEW EPISODES coming. Timed perfectly to continue the story where it left off repeatedly. Vegeta has a new voice but you dont realize it till years later. And this becomes a yearly thing as if broken off into seasons. Not knowing that ALL these episodes were out in Japan For over a decade. Welp that was my reality at least. ๐คท๐พโโ๏ธ
