2024-08-26 05:17:15 +0000 UTCFrom my understanding, the basic premise of the magnet scene is sound but they would have had to have a much larger and powerful magnet. IRL even exposing a magnet directly on a computer may not erase everything unless the magnet was extremely powerful. There was definitely creative liberties with that scene and relies on the viewer to have experienced seeing magnets destroy computers in other TV shows. The writers took liberties for dramatic effect and shouldn't be taken as accurate for how magnets work.
