Glad to see Ryan and George branch into punk and hardcore! Turnstile’s a great introduction. Their two newest albums are catchy and accessible, plus they’re one of the hottest rock bands of the moment with multiple Grammy nominations, opening for Blink-182 a few years ago, their recent NPR tiny desk concert. Like others have said, two songs per reaction would be better since HxC songs are short (typically 1-2 minutes). And there’s lots of subgenres to try out. Modern melodic and post-hardcore is the obvious entry point with its accessible vocals and higher production value. Think bands like Turnstile, Comeback Kid, Title Fight. Or, maybe crossover thrash and metalcore bands like Drain and Knocked Loose since they’re similar to metal. Last but not least, New York hardcore/beatdown bands like Speed, Trapped Under Ice, or Incendiary since there’s some crossover with early 90s hip hop vocal styles and subject material. At least consider it guys!

2025-12-26 17:59:14 +0000 UTCWhy wouldn't you pick Blackout or Holiday from this album? Far better songs. Mystery leads into Blackout in the album and they're better as a duo, but Blackout stands alone. Please give them another visit with these songs in particular.
