Status update
Added 2023-07-13 19:18:45 +0000 UTCI'm going to be on summer vacation this coming week, so unfortunately I won't be able to make progress on the project while I'm gone. There's still work to do before the next version is out. I'm now considering releasing Anna's Friday only, without Saturday, since there's a lot of work to do for Saturday.
Still hoping to have an update by end of July, but we'll see. Having free time to work on this continues to be a huge challenge, as my family and career come first.
Anyways... back to working on the project! I'm hoping to finish the scene I'm working on before leaving for vacation.

Can you clarify what is meant by "not adding more characters" or rather who you will not be introducing? Does this apply to characters previously mentioned but not seen in game such as Mr Stenstromber or Renaldo?

2023-07-15 17:38:19 +0000 UTCWhile I can’t work magic to make the updates more frequently, i do agree it’s taking a very long time for Anna to succumb to temptations and that’s by design. Not to give blue balls on purpose, but to add buildup and context which can make the experience more unique. I want it to be as realistic as possible. In reality, there’s many women in happy marriages and who are starting a family that wouldn’t ever cheat. But… maybe a confluence of events could possibly lead to that happening? You’re currently seeing those events play out. I’m not going to take shortcuts on the plot. Unfortunately I’m not adding more characters, which is a bummer, but I don’t want this to drag out longer than needed. With all that said, this story isn’t for everyone, so I’d recommend checking back in a year if you want a lot more action in one sitting.

2023-07-15 15:46:35 +0000 UTCDisagree. The updates seem timely and pretty consistent. It is clearly building to something bigger in a slower / more realistic way than other titles. I think a lot of us appreciate that slower build-up - I think it's way hotter this way. There's other games out there for that 0.1 version bangfest that some crave.

2023-07-14 16:10:07 +0000 UTCIt’s a good question. Part 2’s Saturday will not take as long. Really there’s only three or four scenes I need to do for Saturday. Friday has ten scenes, one of which has a lot of dialogue (the happy hour scene). One thing that may add time is the new artist potentially having to rework the scenes from Part 1 Fri/Sat in order to make it all mesh. I’m trying to limit the amount of reworking in the interest of time.

Is the work remaining too large that it will take few months to complete Saturday as well? No pressure, just asking to keep my excitement for chapter 3 in check!

2023-07-14 06:09:13 +0000 UTCI’d like to be further along, but I can’t imagine part 3 not having a release before 2024, unless I’m faced with a life emergency or whatever. Summer is tough in my household… I’m the only one in my family who doesn’t work at or attend a school. So, they consume my free time in summer until they go back to school. It’s unavoidable. But, I’m still making progress despite this.

I reward patrons with early releases and bonus content, but the product is free to everyone. From the start I’ve said updates would take 1 to 3 months. I’ve never deviated from that.

You certainly aren't required to continue to contribute as a patron. Independent developers do take longer to release finished products, and I hold no animus to people needing to take care of their personal employment and family affairs. It happens to all of us. Enjoy your vacation Mr. Palmer, and I'm good with whichever way you choose to release the next update.

All of them also have their regular jobs, families etc., their memberships are pretty same but they are much faster. And I am sorry but I have a feeling that you deliberately delay. Or if you don't then this is a waist of money and time waiting so long your short updates. Best regards
