Here's some extra content that didn't make it into the story. It's possible this stuff could make it in eventually, but for now, consider it bonus content. This is narration about Anna's love history...
At the beginning of her freshman year of college, at the young age of 18, Anna Jensen (Jensen is her maiden name… she has Scandinavian and Western European heritage) started dating. She was very shy about dating because of insecurities in herself, which was surprising being that she was a very good-looking and outgoing person. This insecurity was a result of her family being so overprotective of her growing up, causing boys not to pursue her, which led to her not having many boyfriends. She took it personally as if she wasn’t good enough for boys to like her. “I’m not girly enough,” she’d say.
Added to that, the one serious relationship she had before college was traumatic, leaving her confused as to her purpose and what love really is. The boyfriend – who she’d lost her virginity to – had oddly proposed marriage in a desperate attempt to prevent her from going to college to stay with him. When she declined his ridiculous proposal, he was nasty to her and made her feel useless and inadequate with the things he said.
Once she pushed him out of her life and went to college, she was able to breathe again, but it took some time. She took dating very slowly, and she treated it more like a job interview than entertainment.
One of her friends told Anna that her father brainwashed her into treating dating like job interviews instead of having fun… Anna realized her friend was absolutely correct. Her father was in her head every time she went on a date. After this realization, she adjusted her attitude and was able to have fun on dates. In the meantime, her reputation had grown on the college campus because of her good looks, so there were plenty of boys wanting to get dates with her.
Don’t mistake Anna’s dating with sleeping around. She definitely wasn’t going far with the boys she dated her freshman year, and it became known that she was an ice queen when it came to putting out. Most of the time she’d end up just becoming friends with the boys she dated, not lovers.
Her female friends were quick to give her a hard time about this. Why wasn’t she sleeping with these guys and dishing out the details? They’d pester her about this, especially since the best-looking guys on campus wanted her. She’d tell her friends she had bad experiences with her first lover, and she worried she wasn’t good enough.
Her friends eventually convinced her to forget the past… to pretend her ex never even existed. She took the advice and vowed to never think about him again. It was refreshing to let go, and her spirit began to soar as a result.
Soon after, Anna finally slept with a guy she’d been dating for a while during her sophomore year. After her initial trepidation, she was amazed at how much she enjoyed it. The guy became her boyfriend, and they had sex regularly. She found that she loved giving herself to a guy as much as she loved receiving pleasure, and she loved the challenge of climaxing at the same time as her boyfriend. Sex with him wasn’t awkward… it felt natural, and she found herself wanting it every time she was with him.
The problem was that the guy, while extremely good-looking, was a narcissist and acted differently towards her in public. He was more concerned about social status than anything else. He’d often treat her poorly. And he always gave her a hard time because she “studied too much.”
She eventually broke it off with him. He told people HE was the one who broke it off, but Anna didn’t care enough to fight that battle… she didn’t want to play immature games. She moved on past him, and then she began to date again.
Soon after breaking it off, she met a guy who seemed nice. It was a classic case of a person dating the opposite type of person as their ex. It didn’t take long before they were boyfriend/girlfriend and having sex.
This boyfriend was indeed nicer than the last, but he wasn’t nearly as fun and exciting. She felt bad not being happy in the relationship because he was treating her well, but she simply wasn’t into him for whatever reasons she couldn’t explain. She was simply bored with him, and she broke it off.
Surprisingly, he suddenly became a jerk towards her once she dumped him. She saw that he had a nasty side to him, and she was glad she moved on. It was startling to Anna how two-faced he was, though, and she was nervous about misreading other guys.
Once she moved past him, Anna was back to being single as she went into her junior year of college. She was open to dating and meeting new people, but mostly she enjoyed going out with her friends to socialize. College was the first time in her life she had female friends, and she loved experiencing it.
This time around with dating, she was much more selective (picky) about guys. This was in part because of a bad history with guys, but it also had to do with peer pressure from her friends. They encouraged her to only date the popular guys. She decided to listen to them.
She went on several dates, but the guys didn’t get far with her. She reasoned she was just waiting for the right guy in order to get serious. She wasn’t just going to sleep with anyone, even though the guys she dated tried hard.
The right guy never showed up, but Anna was so ready for another boyfriend that she decided to give Eric Chandler a chance.
Eric was infamous on campus. He was very well-built, good-looking, and popular. He was a partier, and he always teetered on the edge of flunking out of school.
Even though he was a troublemaker, Anna was extremely attracted to him, mostly because of his confidence and amazing smile. On their very first date, she slept with him… something completely uncharacteristic of her. And not only that, but she was wild that night. Deep down, she wanted to prove to Eric that she wasn’t the ice queen people made her out to be. She wanted to surprise him, which she most certainly did. And after her last boyfriend was pretty boring in the bedroom, she was itching to have some hot sex since it had been a while.
This led to a hot and heavy relationship, where sex was prioritized. Eric and Anna were the hottest couple on campus, and they lived it up. She was partying more than ever, and her friends all started hooking up with Eric’s friends. There were many late, fun nights, with Anna and her friends partying until the sun came up.
And Anna found that she had an insatiable appetite for sex with Eric. She tried new sexual positions with him and found random places to have sex at. They often had sex for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, leaving her body weak by the time she went to sleep at night. Even after arguments they’d have sex.
Eric told people that Anna was the best fuck he’d ever had. He even told some friends he was in love with her. People couldn’t believe a woman could tame Eric, the wildest of the wild, but it appeared Anna had done it.
Truthfully though, the relationship was doomed. Even though Eric brought out the wildest tendencies in Anna, he couldn’t fully conquer her. She refused to blow him, and when he asked her to have orgies and swing, she declined. This frustrated him because he wanted her to do whatever he told her to do.
Also, they began arguing constantly. Eric was so used to getting his way all the time that he was hard on Anna for everything she did, whether it was fixing a meal or wearing clothes. It was exhausting.
In the end, Eric treated her worse and worse until they finally broke up. He then started sleeping with other girls immediately after they broke up, just to rub it in her face. Anna was mortified and disgusted by his behavior, and she couldn’t believe she’d been in a relationship with him for that long.
In the end, she realized it was just a relationship built on passion, lust, and popularity that couldn’t be sustained. She knew in her gut from the start that Eric was not the one for her, but she wanted to experience what it was like to be with the most popular guy in school, so she gave him a chance. The sex was passionate, the partying was a blast, and the attention was flattering, but it became toxic, so Anna moved on.
Not only was Anna moving on figuratively, but literally as well: She was accepted into one of the top law schools in the country. Because she had accumulated so many credits, she was able to graduate after her junior year and go to law school. Her days as a college undergrad suddenly were over.
After the Eric debacle, she was ready to take a break from the social scene. She wanted to focus on school. She also felt guilty because of her father. If her father knew all the partying she did, he’d be disappointed in her. She knew it was ridiculous to think that way, but it weighed on her. She wanted to make him proud in law school.
Law school was the opposite of partying and fun. She studied ALL the time, and her father put pressure on her to finish among the top in her class like he did. She had friends who asked her to do things socially, but she’d decline. She met guys who’d ask her out, but she’d decline them too. Her focus was doing the best she could in school.
It was tough, no doubt, even though she enjoyed studying and learning. There were times when she considered ending her relationship with her father because the pressure was so heavy. The friendships she’d developed in recent years faded away because of her seclusion in law school. The experience she got dating was a distant memory, and when she got really horny, it was a vibrator that pleased her, not the warmth and comfort of a man. “Just get through law school,” she’d tell herself. “I’ll live my life once the degree is in my hand.”
She stuck with it and finally finished school. She started an internship in the city at the age of 23, and it was time to live again for Anna.
She jumped back on the dating scene using a dating app, since she didn’t have any friends in the city, and she didn’t go out much to meet new people. Dating in the city wasn’t fun like dating in college. It was very different, and Anna found it uncomfortable. Plus, she was around a lot more older men than she was accustomed to in college. Older men often made her uncomfortable. She was constantly flirted with by men, and it was hard for her to know who to trust.
She didn't want to date men like the assholes she dated in college. She wanted to meet a really nice and wonderful man, and she wanted to start a family now that she was established in her career.
She dated a handful of guys from the dating app, but none of them kept her interest for long. Only one of the guys was able to get her into bed, but because he didn’t have a condom and she wasn’t on birth control, they didn’t have sex. He tried to pressure her despite not having a condom, telling her he’d pull out, but she told him no. He kept on trying, despite her telling him no, to the point where she was very scared he was a closet rapist. Needless to say, she broke it off that night and never saw him again.
She became discouraged on the dating scene, even though she hadn’t been on the dating app for long. She wanted advice on meeting men and dating, but she didn’t have friends in the city who she felt comfortable talking to about it. Besides, she was always busy going to the courthouse all day and working at night, so there wasn’t much time to date anyways. She eventually deleted her dating app.
Wouldn’t you know it, the very next morning after she deleted the dating app, she went to get her coffee at the café next to the courthouse and met an interesting guy named David…

I wouldn't read too much into Eric becoming a part of APM. He serves to remind her of times when she was exploring her sexuality. But if he were to show up, she would dismiss him quickly since he treated her very poorly toward the end of their relationship. Edit: I'll give a little tip here that you may have noticed... Jake subtly reminds Anna of Eric, and it gives her some unsettling feelings.

2023-06-26 14:39:46 +0000 UTCI was actually thinking 2 good ways to bring Eric in, would be to either 1. Have him mingle in Marvin’s circles of depravity, or 2. Be a physical trainer at a gym that Anna joins.

2023-06-26 04:43:41 +0000 UTCI was thinking that Eric could come back into Anna's life one night maybe after her & David have their fight over his alleged affair she could talk to Kendra & maybe Kendra suggests Her & Anna hit a Nightclub one evening & either Anna turns up on her own or Kendra & Anna mix with different people that evening & while having a dance & a wine maybe Anna bumps into Eric they chat & dance provocatively (Kendra could get photos to show David later) when Anna's on her own she may recall how fun & dangerous the sex with Eric was potentially reigniting feeling she thought were once buried

2023-06-24 20:48:12 +0000 UTCI like what you have written here, it helps to understand Anna's past much better, and how it has influenced her in this story. It's easy to see why she resists her temptations despite her hormones, which are pushing her quite likely into making mistakes. The unrelenting pressure, from those who would like to use her, destroy her reputation in the firm, and destroy her marriage. Kendra has made things very difficult, and uses every oppurtunity, to put seeds of possibilities, in a desperate attempt to get David back. She will fail in that idea but the amount of damage she could cause their relationship ( David and Anna), could still be irrepairable. I really look forward to seeing what you have in mind that could possibly turn things, however unlikely around. Avery enjoyable story. Cheers!

2023-06-16 16:15:11 +0000 UTCDo you mean Mr. Stenstromber? No ties to previous lovers.
Mr. Palmer
2023-06-14 13:40:15 +0000 UTCcorrect

2023-06-14 13:39:26 +0000 UTCWas eric the one who did roleplaying as well? That multiple options you suggested about Anna being punished and all.

2023-06-13 22:19:24 +0000 UTCI could see Eric, Kendra, and Melvin joining forces to get some revenge on Anna. Not just an adulterous affair, but revenge porn released to the masses and devastating Anna.

2023-06-13 22:17:57 +0000 UTCMr. Palmer you don't say in the narrative, but do anyone of Anna's previous relations have any ties to Stennberg? Could be an interesting dynamic and show a deeper connection to any motives between the behavior between all parties involved.

2023-06-13 20:39:13 +0000 UTCNope - That was a typo and will be corrected in the next version - it was Eric not Steve.
Mr. Palmer
2023-06-13 18:35:46 +0000 UTCIn the last update Anna recalls that the make-up sex with Steve was very good. Was Steve the narcissist or the bland one? On the other hand, if you have to bring someone from the past into the present, let it be the poor bastard doomed for all eternity to remember that he didn't fuck the hottest chick he'd ever met in his life because he didn't have a fucking condom.

2023-06-13 18:10:35 +0000 UTCYou really have a great knack for world building and giving character foundation. As others have mentioned already, this love history really leads to possibility of reintroduction of character. Though, personally, It's hot to know Anna wild side.

2023-06-13 15:58:30 +0000 UTCWell the back story make for some potential interesting characters to be introduced with where they may be at now in their adult lives, and if their paths cross with Anna again. I can see Eric finding his way back into the story.
